Hyde Dismissed from Team, Bradley Roby Arrested

Carlos Hyde was dismissed from the Ohio State football team.

The bad news keeps on coming as Ohio State's national championship hopes took a significant blow Monday with the dismissal of starting running back Carlos Hyde and the weekend arrest of starting cornerback and Thorpe Award candidate Bradley Roby.

Hyde, a senior, is named as a person of interest in an on-going assault investigation. According to a police report obtained by Eleven Warriors, the victim of the alleged assault was struck at Sugar Bar located on Front Street in downtown Columbus in the early morning hours on Saturday.

In the Buckeyes' 12-0 season last year, Hyde accounted for 1,021 total yards – 970 yards rushing – and 17 touchdowns.

According to a report from the Columbus Dispatch, Roby was arrested in Bloomington, Ind. and faces preliminary charges of battery resulting in bodily injury. Sources told the Dispatch that he was "asked to leave the bar after a disturbance, refused, and was subdued by bouncers at the bar before being taken into custody."

Stat, u beat me to it. U know Meyers', "Boys will be boys," attitude says that he won't take the blame. It's Just a mere coincidence that Urbans kids continue to get in trouble no matter where he goes. U can't blame him for these kids continuously getting in trouble (sarcasm). Like Hernandez, Machine Gun Wilson, and the rest of the Thugs he let run loose in Canesville.

Two things are gonna come with Urban Meyer.
1. Wins
2. Multiple Arrests

If u can deal with #2, then u probably are going to get a good deal of #1. O$U made a deal with the devil. Now they are having to pay him. This kinda stuff usually don't surface until AFTER the team wins a NC.
 
With publicity that SCUM has received because of his record at Florida (multiple puns intended), SCUM has to be on a very tight leash.

They couldnt hide this....Mr. Hyde punched a GIRL in the face, who just happens to be the daughter of a police officer.
 
Also star CB bradley roby is facing a battery charge. Maybe Mr. Meyer should get "lack of institutional control"

Hey, don't you know, Urb is tough on crime. Charges will be dropped or reduced and boys will play. Chuckled a few minutes ago when heard ex-Gator Jesse Palmer say Urb was really tough on crime/violence against women. Wonderful, so he let's everything else slide. And what about Rainey, i believe, who made a threat against his old lady friend during his Gainesville days?
 
Normally I wold take the whole glass house approach, but forget that, *** is the biggest scum bag in the entire NCAA, pretty sure the dude would sell a daughter into the *** trade to win or sign a big time recruit.

Does Urban actually give classes or maybe credits for getting arrested? If he had not got all that heat over his boy chrewing on 1st degree murder rap, these cheater u kids would not have anything happen. Did someone on this board urdan would be hard on say the next criminal to get caught? Guess you don't have wait long with urban.

Solid question, especially considering the Hyde was dismissed from the team. I don't like Meyer and think his 1% of 1% is BS, but if he didnt recruit this kid and now the kid is being kicked off the team, I am not sure how you can really attack him for this one.
