Many camps, including the Rivals 3 Stripe Miami Camp that took place on Sunday, have their participants measure in that same day to get an up-to-the-minute accurate height and weight listing. While Rivals only hands out a full roster with the kids’ updated measurables to their media and coaches, thanks to Duasso, we were able to get our hands on one.
To be clear, this is a list of targets that have gotten at least some level of interest from the Miami coaches; not all of them currently have offers.
Some big Canes targets that were in attendance, like Dontae Lucas and Frank Ladson, did not measure in at the event.
QB
Edwin Rhodes, American Heritage (2020) – 6’0” 183.5
Thoughts: Just not a lot of top end talent at QB at the event, as is the case at many South Florida camps. The best QB overall was Aaron McLaughlin, a 2021 guy from Georgia with many top offers who hasn’t yet heard from the UM coaches. Rhodes has received some cursory interest from Jon Richt, but, at only 6’0”, that’s all it is at this point. Miami will keep him on their radar and he may become an athlete target down the road.

Kenny McIntosh, University School (2019) – 6’0” 207.5
Nay’quan Wright, Carol City (2019) – 5’8” 193
Daniel Carter, St. Thomas (2019) – 5’9” 205.5
Jaylan Knighton, Deerfield Beach (2020) – 5’10” 182
Amari Daniels, Miami Central (2021) – 5’7” 185
Thoughts: While I saw talent in flashes, the running back position was just inconsistent overall. That was highlighted by the fact that Mark-Antony Richards won RB MVP honors on the day, despite the fact he listed himself as an athlete and took some reps at DB. An interesting note here is that while only one of these running backs is over 5’10”, they all have strong builds at 182+, especially Wright and Daniels. Carter from St. Thomas has put on a solid 10+ pounds of muscle in the past few months, while McIntosh looks even bigger than his listed numbers.

Thoughts: While it was close with defensive line, I’d give the edge to the WR group as the most impressive at the camp. It’s no surprise that South Florida is overflowing with talent at receiver yet again. Dunmore, Britt, Rosemy, and Brooks all made great impressions, while Norris plays bigger than his listed size. Britt in particular looks much more filled out since the last time I saw him at Paradise Camp back in July. As a note, even though Ladson didn’t measure in, he looks every bit of his 6’5” listing.

Nikolas Ognenovic, Cardinal Gibbons (2019) – 6’4” 232.5
Thoughts: There was only 3 total Tight Ends at the camp and none of them really stood out. Ognenovic has had contact with the staff, but is waiting on an offer.

Wardrick Wilson, Norland (2019) – 6’3” 311.5
Maurice Smith, Miami Central (2019) – 6’2” 276.5
Marcus Dumervil, St. Thomas (2020) – 6’4” 296
Marcus Tate, University School of Nova (2021) – 6’4” 290.5
Thoughts: Although there was plenty of offensive linemen in attendance, only a few have gotten Miami interest so far. Wilson, Dumervil, and Tate all have offers and, by looks alone, they definitely deserve it, as they were physically a notch bigger than most everyone else; the numbers back that up. Lucas didn't measure in, but was by far the biggest lineman in attendance. Smith out of Miami Central has received interest from UM, but is probably too undersized at 6’2” 276 pounds to begin getting a huge push from the staff.
