Every year a few seniors make a leap and become bigger contributors to the team. After reading Porter's article and referencing the 1,967 snaps (a couple hundred more than any other player on defense had) that Chickillo played I can't help but see him having a bigger impact if Kamalu or other players can finally get this man some rest. There's no question that Anthony's effectiveness is based around his constant motor. So if he can play less snaps I expect big things.

Thoughts?

I hope so for Chick....

But I'm actually in the minority thinking we might get some solid play from the seniors at the QB position in Heaps and/or Williams.

I would definitely have to believe a lighter Chickillo combined with less reps will improve his production greatly. Not to mention a stout middle defense that doesn't allow the QB to step up into the pocket. I am pulling for 3G this is his last shot at joing the elite level play his family has set here at UM, not to mention this is his audition for the NFL.

i think Armbrister has a nice year for us. Gunter too.

On offense, I think this is the year Clive takes off. Maybe Sandman too, if he can keep dobard off the field

How has he dropped weight?

He was 280 last year and Godlen said he wanted him up to 288 this year.

Dropped like 900 pounds of Shayon, Porter and Robinson.

I've watched Chick get double teamed on practically every play for 3 years.
Looking forward to seeing how he does playing with real defensive linemen as his teammates.

Pulling for them all. More than anyone, the team needs either Heaps or Williams to have a breakout senior year. But I'd like all these guys to see their full potential and go out winners. Most have flashed, showed they had it in them. But so far only Perryman is a lock for the league. Would love to see guys like Warlord, Dorsett, Chick, Pierre, Scott, Gunter, Feliciano all have their names called. And wtf happened with Sandland?? It's now or never for the former #1 Juco TE.

Olsen Pierre. If he can put it all together and consistently show what he flashed in 2012 especially in the FSU game that year then we might be on to something. Having said that, all the seniors on defense need to take it to the next level. Chickillo, Pierre, Armbrister, Perryman, and Gunter all need to show out.
