Although the class ranking may not show it, I really like this class if we can close strong on the field and keep it together.

  • Marcus Fleming - Should be a high 4 star. Potential through the roof with his speed (Tyreek Hill esk)
  • Elijah Roberts - Should be a high 4 star. Best DL in Dade. See a future havoc causing DT
  • Romello Height - Severally underrated. I think I saw he has 16 sacks this year. This dude screams Garvin/Harvey/Rousseau clone. Should be a 4 star
  • Daran Branch - as discussed in the other thread, very under the radar guy. Body type and skills to be a lock down CB. Should be a 4 star
  • Tirek Austin-Cave - Alpha Dawg mindset. Crazy production on the field. Can see him coming in and pushing for PT right away. Should be a 4 star
  • Quentin Williams - Athleticism through the roof. I see a little Olivier Vernon in him or a better more explosive Trent Harris
  • Marcus Clarke - Speed, ball skills, length. Natural football player and great potential for Rumph to coach up.
  • Xavier Restrepo - makes plays wherever he is on the field
  • Chris Washington - Frame, Bend, and athleticism. Similar mold and body type to Zion

That's 9 guys that should be rated higher than they are. We have missed on some targets, but I really like the staffs evaluations of alot of our commits

This kid is bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic than Donnell Harris. He's only 2 inches shorter, but yet Donnell harris is 4 star and he is a 3 star. Someone explain that

We're using a Zion comparison as a compliment?

The three stars I’m most excited about are Tirek Austin-Cave, Romello Height, Daran Branch, Xavier Restrepo and Chris Washington.

They’re productive, they have verified athleticism and they’re versatile.
I have no doubt that alot of those guys are gonna ballout. They all jump out on film. Chris Washington is extremely intriguing though. He seems like a boom or bust player. Kid could be a real jem. Might shape up to be an Eric Winston.

I agree, I believe most of these guys are under rated too. With that being said, a lot of the rankings are based on ceiling and potential, not just current production. I believe all of these guys are going to be able to contribute, but how many have hit their ceiling already. We won't know that for a few years....but I love the potential. Just like last years class. I really see our small 2019 class being really really good too.

What is Restrepo's position/role?

What is Restrepo's position/role?

He can do a ton.

On his senior highlights (which are in chronological order), he throws TDs, runs for TDs, catches TDs, returns punts for TDs, blocks punts, blocks FGs, blitzes, jumps routes, covers downfield, knocks Marcus Dumervil on his *** on the goaline, blocks, holds for kicks and runs fakes on special teams.

I'm thinking slot on offense or nickel on defense, with a big role on special teams.
