Xavier Williams isn't trash

Just having a terrible game

No he’s trash...

nah he aint trash

lol

Why cause he caught a ball...he’s supposed to catch the ball...problem is he drops 5 for every one he catches. He will never play in a game at WR at Bama...he will play Cb ,stand on the sidelines of be looking to transfer.

Kid could be a great CB.We wanted him as a CB.Bama told him what he wanted to hear but will move him there when he gets on campus.

Has blades done anything at all? He is the only one of our guys that I haven’t seen Do something impressive. He struggled in practice as well from the reports.

He’s a DB. You should really only notice him if he is ******** up.

We really got better on the OL. Reed will need to lose a few pounds, but he and Scaife have been impressive.

Why is a top caliber Miami LB going to Louisville?

Because we didn’t recruit him

To be fair, a lot of the top schools didn't recruit him. He ran a 5.1 40 at a camp in 2016 and didn't run the 40 at the Miami Opening in 2017. Uhdl shows him as a 4.83 guy at 230+ pounds but he could be closer to 4.9+. Based on what i read, he struggled at camp settings in space. That's not to say a 4.9 LB can't play well in college.....Scooby Wright was 4.9, Kentrell Brother for Mizzou was 4.89, Paul Dawson was 4.95 for TCU and Preston Brown lead Louisville in tackles (94) and TFL (13) at 4.86. That said, guys with slow 40's being very successful are usually exceptions to the rule, especially as the game has spread out and been more about space and speed. He's definitely a thumper inside against the run on tape.

He was committed to Auburn spring of 2016 but they stopped talking to him, so he decommitted in September 2016. He named Louisville his favorite before ever visiting but said he wanted offers from Bama, Clemson and FSU. The top schools never recruited him so he signed Louisville. He did make a few unofficial visits to Miami.

Other top schools aren't 20 minutes away from the HS he plays at.

I get that - just playing devil's advocate.

Fans scream when top 10 teams recruit players we don't - how can they be good enough for Auburn, OU, etc but not us.
But then fans scream when we don't recruit kids that none of the top teams recruiteither, which is why they end up at Louisvile.

I'm not saying the kid is UM material or not. I'm just putting context behind the "why" he may not have been recruited.

Sure. Distance has always stopped those schools from recruiting a guy they deemed worthy. Specifically in the Miami area. FSU would never go into Central and get a player they really liked.

I really would have liked to see Scaife vs Amona. NPF got abused by him. Would have been a nice comparison to see how he performed.
