UM should switch Joe Brown to NT to provde depth. That is an enormous young man that is a stoutly built 330lbs. With Michael Wyche having conditioning issues, brown could pick up few extra reps at NT. Between Wyche, Heurtlou, and Brown that is three 310+ lbs NT that will command doubles teams an not be moved, thus freeing up other players on the defense an then sprinkle in earl moore.

I saw a clip of him practicing with the oline and good lord that is a strong dude. The combo blocks could barely budge him, which is what you want in your NT. But hey staff is still moving players around, so lets see what happens.

Why is moving a defensive player back to defense rubbish?

Yes he is doing well in camp picking up the oline techniques and plays, but in the 3-4 two gap system the NT is a glorified blocker of olinemen for the defense which Brown excels at handling the double team.

You didn't mention Moore and Jenkins who are also working at NT. Why would we move a player that Golden said may be the biggest surprise of camp to a position where he would be 5th on the depth chart?

Jenkins should redshirt he has definite future All ACC potential as a redshirt Jr or Sr could be an all American.

I did mention earl Moore as part of the rotation.

Didn't they just move him to OL? Why would they move him to DL? What has changed? He had a good block with the 3rd team and seems to be doing way better than expected on the OL?

I am suggesting this to augement Wyche and Heurtelou, because of Wyche's conditioning issues. I think Brown should be redshirted whether it is for offense or defense, but if UM needs an extra 15 plays a game of run support then Brown could be the player.

There would be 4 NTs ahead of him, where are these 15 plays coming from?

We are thinner going forward at OL going forward then NT.

This move would make 0 sense

With Wyche trying to lose weight, it could be his diet that's causing his body to breakdown. From the looks of this guy on film, he's still dang near 370lbs. I don't blame the coaches for trying to make him get his weight down, but Don't care what they do at this stage, this kid is not going to be a healthy 320lbs this year.

He's a big boy!!

Let Wyche have a good meal, and give him as much breathers as he needs and/or plug him situationally in the games. His conditioning will get up to par towards the 4th game of the year.

Then again, if we back, then the defense will post 3 & Out's consistiently!! Then he wont have to be on the field long.

According to coach he doing well at OL. His accolades were as a DLineman. I would say if he is excelling at OL then keep him there unless there comes a need at DL. When we bring in 2015 OL signees then we'll have a conditioned and acclimated recruit who'll have 4 years at NT if we choose to res shirt him.

UM should switch Joe Brown to left the **** out to provide scholarship sanction depth.

Why? Because when we signed Brown, Paranos "predicted" he would be moved to NT based on his EXPERT analysis. So I guess he is sticking to his guns.
