Already 5'11" 175lbs.
Not as electric as Knighton but he's going to grow into a 6'0" 205lb physical type RB in my opinion.

At this point UM has to feel like Charlie Brown constantly trying to kick the football and each time thinking this is the one I connect on, only to have Lucy pull it away at the last second like always.

I see the physical aspect to his game and developing that will be the key for Patterson. He doesn't have the long speed nor the type of wiggle to make people miss in a phone booth but he has the potential IMO to develop into an effective physical back who can consistently churn out the tough yards between the tackles. Patterson is not the back that is going to improvise much once he picks his hole/lane. He's not the type to make a sharp cut at the second level that jukes the defender out of his jock strap. His ceiling will be developing into the back the gets to the second level, sees a one on one with a safety right in front of him and rams it right down his throat for an extra 3-5 yards.
