More than 50 players and coaches from the 1983 team are planning to attend, with more names being added to the growing list daily.
The 1983 National Champions will be guests at the Hurricane Club Pre-Game Tailgate Aug. 30 at 5:30 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium, and the team will be honored at halftime of the FAU game.

So basically, if you live within 3 hours of Son Life and you don't go to a Friday night game...**** your own face.

**** your own face anyways but Dan is right. If you young South Florida wiggers are planning on attending the Florida game then you shouldn't have any reservations about coming to Son Life 8 days prior to support the team.

i'm guessing UM planned this for that FAU game to give our "wonderful" south florida fanbase a reason to come out to the game. Hopefully we'll get the turnout this team deserves!! :quag:

if serious, this is great news. Not even for the medias sake because who cares what they say about our lack luster fan support in the past. But for our team coming out to a packed stadium on the first game of the season after a hard off season of putting in major work would be very refreshing i'm assuming. Or at least much better than coming out to crickets like last year which has to kind of be a downer to some. Also we'll be on tv, so it can't hurt with recruiting

there is an HC tailgate that night, as well. i know there was an old thread on here asking bout em. obviously we dont need to tell ppl to show up on this site since most of us are more invested in the program than the casual fan. if u have any extra tickets or if u cant make it that night (understandable for those outside of SFL or those who work till late), give em to any other fans u know. lets try to fill that place. the kids and staff deserve it for what theyve been through. should be a great night honoring the 83 team and the man who built both football programs
