Asked about the status of ticket sales, James said a small number of season tickets are still available. If those are unsold by game time — he didn’t specify the date — the school will release them for sale.
Freet said those tickets may not reach the open market.
“We are in process of selling all the seats to waiting list of Hurricane Club (donors) members,” Freet wrote in an email. “The list was 700 accounts long after the previous single game allotment was sold. These seats will never be ‘publicly’ available because [Hurricane Club] members will scoop them up.”
Freet said if Hurricane Club members do not buy all the extra seats, a small number of single tickets — he guessed a couple hundred — could be available. However, they might be one seat in the middle of a section.
Currently, the cheapest ticket for UM-UF on StubHub is $120, for end zone nosebleeds. By contrast, StubHub’s most expensive ticket for the FAU game: $255. Tickets for that game start at six bucks.
