Hi guys, I'd be grateful for some advice.

I'm one of a group of 6 guys (aged 21-23) who are planning to be in Miami for the long weekend of 21st September 2013, when the Hurricanes play Savannah. It looks like there are loads of tickets available on Stubhub at a variety of prices...what we'd like to know is the best place to sit to get a proper college experience, in amongst the students. Is there a particular area we should aim for?

Also, do you have any advice for getting involved in a raucous tailgating party beforehand? Are there organised events or are we better off just getting our own pitch and hoping to join in with others?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Wear Miami gear

Bring loads of alcohol

Park on the west side and when u get there listen for uncle Luke blaring and people doing keg stands and taking shots. Go befriend them and offer them your alcohol.

Doesn't matter where u sit. I wouldn't even purchase a ticket for that game until game day you will be able to find tickets for like 2 dollars.

Enjoy.

You won't be able to sit amongst the students as you need to be a student to get the wristband to sit in that area. However, the pregame in the parking lot before the game is a pretty **** good time as the students can get a little wild. As far as the game itself is concerned, the stadium will be far from empty and Savannah State is the softest opponent possible. Picture Chelsea vs. Cambridge United.

I was checking the specs on the end line for the rotary....girder...

I'm retarded.

If there are 6 of you, you'll stand out no matter what you wear.

Thanks for doubling the crowd for Savannah St.

I would not call a Miami v Savannah State a typical college experience. Miami is not a typical college town, nor is it typical of the US.

Nevertheless it should be a fun experience for you and the folks you come across. Wear something that identifies you as being from UK, but not to worry once you speak we will know you're not from around here. Also try to wear Miami gear to "break the ice." Walk around and say hello to the people who best fit your personalities/style. I don't think you will have much of a problem being befriended. No need to purchase advance tickets for this game. If I see you I'll be pleased to buy you "a pint." It may not be as tasty as yours but I expect it will be more expensive yet cold and wet.

Welcome! Have a good time.

dislexia? They're coming from the United Kingdom (UK). :)

But, you have a point, they'll be just as untanned.

They got better fights at UK soccer games than we had at FIU or South Carolina - as it's OFF the field fighting.

You UK guys know that Miami's colors are Orange and Green.

Might be a good idea to choose one or the other. Kindred spirits, and all that.
