Trying to jinx us?

ATS pick: Miami (FL)

We'll caution against over-investment this year in a Miami team that's limited schematically, but the Hurricanes are good enough for us to continue fading an overvalued Florida outfit this week. Florida does have better defensive personnel and an advantage in the chess match between offensive coordinator Brent Pease and the Miami defensive brain trust.

The Gators, though, are not sporting good team health and continuity right now and Miami will get more from the personnel surrounding its quarterback. Miami has the program's best mix of talent, experience and opportunity of the Al Golden era. This week's visit from the Gators is low-hanging fruit as statement games go.

Score: Miami 28, Florida 20

Even thoguh they still managed to trash us some and minimize the win, from their mouths to God's Ear.

Must have been a Nole writer lol. The Noles might not like us but they hate the Turds as much as we do.

Will Harris certainly doesn't like the Gators, picked against them last week:

Toledo Rockets at Florida Gators (-24)
ATS pick: Toledo

Toledo is a seasoned lot whose older players have experienced wins over Purdue, Colorado and Cincinnati along with last-second near-misses at Ohio State, Arizona and Syracuse.

The Rockets are a solid, well-coached MAC contender with some serious offensive weapons at every position group. This team won't feel out of place trying to get inside 24 points against a Florida outfit that last year went 0-for-3 ATS by an average of more than 15 points as an out-of-conference favorite.

Florida managed only a 7-6 ATS record last year even in a breakout campaign that will stand as the high point of the Will Muschamp era. We're always looking to fade the Gators, and there's no time like the injury-ravaged present. Camp injuries have cost the Gators key players all over the lineup. The heat, one-man wrecking crew Loucheiz Purifoy and top-notch play calling from offensive coordinator Brent Pease are the biggest obstacles to a Rockets upset.

Score: Florida 31, Toledo 24

He was actually correct, against the spread. If you took Florida -24...you lost.
