As one of the best athletes every time he steps on the field, 2020 4-star Jaquavion Fraziars plays both WR and S for Dunnellon High. While Fraziars filled up the stat sheet during his junior season, most schools have already decided they want him on the offensive side of the ball.
“My junior year went pretty good, always could be better,” Fraziars said. “I had 57 catches, 902 yards, and 14 TD’s on offense and 117 tackles, 7 INT’s, and 19 PBU’s on defense. My routes at receiver, my coverages at safety, all that is getting better and up to date by the day.”
The dual-threat athlete made an early commitment to the Florida Gators back in December, but that hasn’t stopped other schools from trying to sway him. Fraziars was actually one of new WR coach Taylor Stubblefield’s first offers when he took the Miami job in mid-January.
“The Miami coaches came before school, so I had to wake up a little early to go meet them there,” Fraziars said. “But it felt good to get the offer, coach Stubblefield was real cool.”
The 6’4” 195 pound prospect most recently took a visit to Gainesville to see UF, and he says it helped make his pledge more solid.
“As of right now, I’m solid with UF,” Fraziars said.
Even still, Fraziars admits that his recruitment is not shut down and that he will still take visits to other schools. Now that he has the UM offer, Fraziars said that he is interested in taking a trip to Coral Gables to check out campus, and the Dunnellon star has plenty of family members in the area that would love to see him in the orange and green.
“I plan on taking an unofficial to Miami pretty soon,” Fraziars said. “I have a lot of family down there and it’s a private school, which means education matters a lot.”
When it comes time to make his ultimate decision, Fraziars says academics will play an important role in his final choice.
“Education first always,” Fraziars said. “I want to be a physical therapist if football doesn’t work out.”
