U looking at former Carol City DB now at Miami ASA

I know ASA is a relatively new program. How are some of their alums doing at D1 schools around the country? Btw I am not doubting their program or talent whatsoever. Just interested because I don't live in the area so I don't know much about the program.

They have a few kids for the 2017 recruiting cycle that are committed to D1 programs...

DE Shamar Hamilton is committed to Colorado, very solid 6'5 235lbs prospect with 6 sacks on the season & is rated as a 3-star.

Their QB Voshon Waiters is an absolute beast, 6'2 200lbs kid from outta Coral Gables, is a Freshman this year & has completely killed at ASA.

They're 6-1 on the season & have absolutely dominated every team they've played except Georgia Military Academy, but I've seen two of their games this season (my cousin's friend plays for them) & they definitely have some D-1 prospects on their roster.

Thanks! I remember hearing a little about Waiters back when he was in HS. Should be interesting to see where he lands.

Listen to the Living Legend. I told you guys we'd take 3 LBs when all the purported gurus and insiders were claiming we'd only take 2. And I told you guys we'd be looking at a JUCO CB when the gurus said "no" on JUCO at CB.

So Zero, zilch, nada, no chance that Henderson or Edwards chooses us in the end? I know it's old, but we need another top CB to compliment Bandy. We good at SS with Gibson and Carter. We got to flip the script in SoFl some way.

Me and Geo were saying we were taking a JUCO CB for months now as well

U coaches now looking at this ASA LB
D'Ronzjiah Mathews, ASA College Miami, Outside Linebacker

I love having a burgeoning JUCO program in our backyard now. This can be huge for us.

I always thought JUCO programs in Florida would be a nice addition. Develop local kids who need academic work, and keep them local.

Dontavious Brini oldest brother of the three. Originally signed Concord University in West Virginia but is now at ASA North Miami Beach. Be interesting to see how he develops. The school is 50 miles or so NW of VT in the middle of nowhere I understand.
