Tyson Campbell

I know this has been said before but trying to understand why we need 2 secondary coaches when we don’t even have a dedicated LB coach? In addition our cornerbacks coach appear not able to teach basic fundamentals like looking back for the ball in coverage. In addition he can’t seem to land a single recruit from a place he used to coach.

If we miss out on Tyson major fail in improving the secondary. I am not even thinking about Surtain. Who else feels great about the current crop of starters based how we played the last 3 games?

Y'all should of knew it was raps after rattle's post.

Based on what Campbell said, My Translation: UGA and Alabama defenses looked like something I want to play in. Miami defense looked like hot crap the last 3 games, CB looked poorly coached, and CB don't even look for the ball.

You know, for being an established coach Richt makes a lot of rookie moves.

And I will continue to say Rumph needs to be tossed if he doesn't get the AH kids. Dude missing to many layups.

When did Rattler make this post?

Within the last week

Rattler has the best intentions and obviously wants Tyson here more than any of us, but I trust the what I see Tyson say above all else....

That kid ain't trolling either.

To be clear, unless Tyson is publishing it himself, you are not seeing what Tyson is saying. You are seeing what a reporter/blogger/clickbait-artist/guy-trying-to-get-paid shows you. Even if the quotes are accurate (sometimes they aren't), you are not seeing the quotes that were edited. You aren't seeing the quotes that did not make it into the article. You are not seeing the questions presented. In short, you/we aren't seeing **** (other than what some guy trying to make a buck wants people to see... to generate clicks... to generate $$$).

This is stupid. The quotes are the quotes. If these guys change these kids words, then these kids would never grant them interviews.

This is naive (and largely miscomprehends my point). I did not say the posts are not usually accurate, I was simply explaining you/we have no context. Do you think someone just walks up to a recruit with a microphone and they start talking? The questions the interviewer asks typically shape the responses (quotes). If, for instance, I asked Tyson, "Hey, it looks like UGA has been showing you a lot of love recently. They obviously have a lot going for them right now. What are they telling you and is that a school you're looking at?" I would not expect a long winded answer regarding UM. The words are (usually) the words. But without knowing the context (or bias, or slant), you're just reading a summary of one half of a conversation.

Savage move

Fire Lumph next week and hire Surtain Sr at least we would land Jr

There is a new rule which prevents this. We wouldn't be able to recruit Heritage for 2 years I think.

-TC does visit w UGA and had a great time. Sky falling, he’s all UGA

-TC supposed to go to UGA, gets hurt, never makes trip
-Instead of rescheduling UGA trip, he comes to Miami for unofficial, sky becomes Orange
-TC has in home w Miami coaches and enjoyed it, Sky becomes Green
-Miami loses 3 in a row, sky falls again
-TC says he trust more than one coach on UGA staff, new sky becomes fire
-TC responds on twitter to lost of Miami in OB, but no reaction to UGA come back win
-From a “vibe,” some guys are close to CBing him to UGA, while some still have him solid to Miami.
-B/c of some UGA writers feeling a vibe and giving a guess, the board has become a b*tch fest.

LOL. We have a bunch of weird fans.

I've been around for a minute with this recruiting crap, I believe TC might be a silent to us but also to UGA too :noidea::noidea:

If Surtain Sr. was hired as one of the 10 coaches, then it doesn't apply. Would only apply if we offered him a front office position similar to Baez and Cooney.

Well I'll put it like this, I asked him if he knew where he wanted to go. The answer I got was different than the second-hand info I heard through his sister that I posted on here before. I believe his thinking has changed more than his sister misinforming me. Basically he says he wants to stay home but he owes it to himself to seriously weigh his options. He knows that for him personally, there is no bad situation football wise. He's confident that he can make an immediate impact anywhere. It's a three horse race between Us, UGA & Bama and since I heard him say he wants to stay home, I would say that we hold the lead but the competition is pulling out all the stops. I spoke with his dad for a while, and he reiterated that this is Tyson's choice alone and he'd support him wherever he goes. But he made it clear that Tyson is gonna do his due diligence to be sure he won't regret his decision in retrospect. I believe that Richt & staff will deliver the pitch necessary to keep him here...

As you can see... Rattle previous posts in the past before this one went from a Canes lean to now he wants to think about it some more. Vets know what this means when a kid seemed like a lean then suddenly it's "oh wait, let me rethink my decision again." He's either gone, flipping, or got dropped.

Yea a dude who played the position and was a 1st round pick isnt teaching the corners to turn their head.

I know TC said he trust Mel Tucker b/c he’s been in the NFL.....please tell him to look up Mel Tucker’s defenses and why he is not in the NFL anymore. I saw that man literally take my beloved Bears top flight def and create the worst defensive rankings in the history of our existence. That’s not a hyperbole, that’s a true black and white statement. He stunk it up w Jax as well. He’s not in the NFL b/c after he ruined Chicago’s legacy, not one team would touch him. Bama was Saban’s def. Noticed how whenever UGA played any team w an offensive pulse, they got ran through like a see through pair of boxers. Mel is by far the scummiest of all d coordinators. Since ur my guy, I had to share that w u. I didn’t mind the other names he said, but when he said Mel Tucker, that bothered me. He will never see the NFL again, and if he does, he’ll be an assistant to an assistant.

ChosenOne, was this supposed to help ur argument? Literally u just snitched on urself putting words in Rattler’s mouth. Ay, if I’m ever hemmed up, don’t come testify on my behalf, playah.

Stop with that "Vet" ****. Rattler's been straight up with us.

The kid wants to do his due diligence. A real vet looks at the attitude of said recruit. Campbell and Jobe are two polar opposites - one likes the attention and circus, the other one's quiet, mature and handles business.

I don't know if TC is coming to Miami or not, I think he will, but I'm not going to say 100 for sure if Rattler (his own cousin) isn't.

Campbell's taking all of his OVs in January, and we have the last visit. This is someone who's actually handling their recruitment the way it is, not as a troll.

I don't blame him for looking at all options one more time.

Oklahoma ran all over UGA's defense. Albeit they did have the best offense in the nation. If not for having arguably the most productive 1-2 punch at RB in cfb history, they'd likely be screaming how much of a corch Kirby is.

But I agree, Tucker's more of a recruiter, not a mastermind coach.

So looking at the 4 American Heritage prospects, Miami is all but a lock for one, good shots for 2 & 3, and a long shot for 4. Yet Rumph should be fired if he doesn't land ONE recruit. You kidding me? That's crazy. You can say whatever about how poorly coached the CBs were against Wisconsin but Rumph has developed Corn, Colbert, squeezed whatever he could out of Dee Delaney and got Michael Jackson to the point where he's actually thinking of leaving early. NO ONE would have thought that to even be a possibility last year.

And someone said if Miami misses out on Tyson it's a major fail in improving the secondary. Huh? It looks like the entire secondary (minus Delaney) will be back next year and you add to that Gurvan Hall, Al Blades Jr, Gilbert Frierson, and D.J. Ivey. In all honesty, Tyson would be the icing on a **** good cake. Getting PS2 would be getting a whole nother cake at this point.

Stop this doesn’t fit the narrative that the class sucks w/o TC & PS2 and we’ll never be back w/o 5* at every positions.
And rumph should be fired because recruiting top prospects are super easy if you’ve coached them before.

I'm all for holding back until the kid actually says what he's gonna do but given the relationship/history between Rumph and Campbell, if we don't land him, it's really bad.

It's kinda necessary to have a CB coach and Safety coach.
