42-41. 10-3 with closing on 3/4 losses. We Likely wont even finish top 20. (They’ll gleefully take us out the polls).
First, for the weirdos blaming Ward: The
Guy suits up. Projected top 3 pick. Our first in ages. He Leaves at HALFTIME with a 31/m-28 lead. 3 tds NO turnovers.
And the base full of whacked out/scrub rejects blame him for a one point loss.
Here is the hard facts: Cristobal ship once again sank. All he had to do was go for the throat in goaline to push the game to two scores (tds).
What happens, the rejects that have built up (Emory can’t toss a pebble in a lake), goes 5/14 for 26 yards & the inevitable INT.
The slurpers wanted ANY reason to escape with a win to build a fake narrative to start that guy. And pump False Hope. But we Miami. We don’t get that.
We get the hard truth. That truth:
He isn’t good. He isn’t power five good. Two seasons on campus and every top 15 QB in the 2026-27 cycle can make better reads. He has no business starting HERE.
Reality is, if Ward didn’t play this game at all, Miami loses 50-6 potentially.
Ignore it, but look at the game and imagine with #17 for 40 mins. 50-6 was plausible.
We just don’t have a great foundation already with Cristobal due to his ineptitude in game.
It was a ride this year. I don’t expect much success next season barring a completely unforeseen QB coming.
Maybe this embarrassing defeat shifts things. But not likely
