A very good DE room became a potentially great room with the addition of Tennessee transfer Tyler Baron. The 6’5, 260-pound senior met with reporters to discuss camp:

You and the team better go there with the right mentality. Because if you lose to those dip s**** the season is a bust. Don't give me the "Win the rest" BS. THIS is the table setter. Not some ordinary table either. This is setting the table for Thanksgiving. FSU is a rival, but there is some respect there between the two programs. ZERO respect for the Gators. Of all the games on the schedule, you gotta win this one. Must win. I promise you, we can go 10-1 the rest of the way, "But you lost to Florida". "You are still their B*&^%$. Can't have that.

Yeah, I keep harping on the DT and DB depth (not counting true freshmen). But that DE room is insanely good, closely followed by ballers at LB. In fact, our starters are all grown-*** men a season or two from playing in the NFL. Led by a brilliant and hyper-aggressive DC. They are going to eat.

I don't drink or do drugs. All I am saying is the Big D*&^ Mario has started off 12-13 in his first two years here. At 8 million per. If you start the season out losing to an in-state rival, a big one, it will be tough to come back from that mentally.

The team will need that confidence going up to Tampa to play USF. Again, the B*t** factor. We will be seen as the 3rd or 4th place team in the state if Florida beats us. They will have all the momentum.

Miami teams have not shown me the ability to rise up through adversity. Lot's of doubts will start to circle if we lose to Florida. This isn't 1983.
