Two things that will get us over the hump.

I know there is a laundry list of things that we need to become elite, but this year if we would have these two, we could have won 1 and possibly 2 more games.

1. A QB that can convert on third down. Passing or running, it doesn't matter, we couldn't sustain drives for ****.

2. A **** pass rush from the middle. I think the edges are fine for years to come, but we didn't collapse a pocket to save our season. Goes with #1, we couldn't get off the field on third down.

QB you are correct....see USF and MSU

we need a pash rush, but look who were the stars in the tough Defenses...the Strong Safeties,,,they stuff the run lock down the long thows..etc...

we need Bush to take over the Defense like we need Williams to take over the Offense...

the right SS and they blow this **** up.....I seen one time this year where we blew up a Screen...the last 5 min of the Bowl game this year..chick ****ed up and turned around and the guy ran into him....Only kidding but that was the only time..
 
The whole defense needs to make a jump.

Safety play needs to improved drastically
LB's need to improve drastically
Line needs to improve drastically

The CB's are the only part of the defense that are Miami Caliber. That was accomplished through recruiting. Here's to everyone else panning out too
 
We need eleven vicious savages on defense who will stop at nothing to devour the ball carrier
Agree on the qb

Well played. But I was just referring to what I thought could have gotten us a couple more wins and what might this coming year. DT and a QB that can make things happen are the two I believe were the biggest. That's a 2-3 player difference, rather than overhauling the whole team.
