OT Tony Gray Lawerenceville, Georgia

The Hurricanes got Gray's attention in the early stages of his recruitment but things didn't get more seriously mutually until a month ago.

"The old coaches were the ones who offered but they basically never hit me up," Gray said. "Things didn't really get started with Miami until after signing day. They re-offered and I've talked to Mark Richt, their head coach. I know he coached at Georgia for a long time because that's not too far from here."


"They're one of those schools I need to check out and I'm going to," Gray said. "My mom is having some health issues but we'll find a time that can work for us. I've never been down in that area so I'm pretty curious about what it might be like. Of course everybody has heard about Miami before but you don't really know until you go."

Anybody else find it ironic that Plain Dealing Louisiana is any part of college football recruiting?

I like the athleticism of Tony Gray and he can flip tackle position. Big frame to build on, won't be "squishy". Carper's QB was worse than the Engineering intramural QB. No judgement there, couldn't tell.
