I know most on this board will say he’s a good coach. If Rumph whiffs on Jobe, Samuels, Campbell, and Surtain then he’s a MASSIVE failure as a recruiter. He needs to be replaced or the 10th coaching spot has to go to a Stud recruiter. There’s no excuse with the type of success and hype UM has had for only Ivey (albeit he maybe underrated) and Blades to be the top CBs in this class. You add in that Rumph coached 2 of these kids and it magnifies the problem.
The staff is crazy if they aren’t recruiting Wilson with who we have committed. They better know a lot of somethings we don’t. UM needs at least 3 press corners for this defense to be elite. Only landing 1 of the top 6 CBs in South FL is unacceptable. Add in the fact the only one is a legacy lock.
We’ll see what happens. It’s still way early to start calling for heads. However, there’s definitely reasons to be concerned if Jobe flips. This has to be the easiest year for UM coaches to recruit probably ever. FSU and UF both have new staffs, we have brand new facilities, and the God**** Turnover Chain!!!

bag game is real I keep tellin them it aint about them wins man, saban goes hard right now and in February. Hes going hard now because the early signing period if not he wouldnt be doing **** until close to signing day like he always does. Hes not some charismatic dude so something else is going on.

I don't think there's any doubt that he's a good coach (Xs and Os). I also think it's reasonable to question his recruiting. DB is the spot at which we've had multiple last-minute flakes in the '16, '17, and '18 classes (the ugly belly kid, Henderson, Jobe). OTOH if we can add two of Campbell/Samuels/Surtain/Smith to what we already have, our Defensive backfield should be in fantastic shape.

As others have said, we should never lack talent and depth at DB.

He’s not a consensus 3 star he just got rated a consensus 4 star in the composite today. 247 has him rated as a 92. Who says we aren’t in good position to get campbell?

Ivey is one of the best dbs in South Florida this year, 6 ints and didn’t give up a catch playing top dade county competition
