STA people say Asante is the best cover corner to play at STA to date. He is always in good position, is a ballhawk, and will hit people.
Just like his pops.

Lol Jobe gone huh Pete?
Pete, already said he expects Jobe to decommit tonight
Where did he say that?
The film I saw of Samuel last year seemed more in zone, cover 3 like pops. So I just stereotyped him a cov 3 guy. But this film shows him up in dudes faces pressing and he also plays physical for his size . I'm a lot more impressed with this film. I still like surtain and Campbell more but he's definitely a take.
I just prefer bigger cb. With Bandy and Malik I was hesitant on us taking another smallish cb (like my opinion matters). But if you can cover , you can cover .
I remember on CBS I laughed at FSU when they brought in 5'8 Lamarcus Joyner and talked about how Laron Byrd (6'4) abuse him. To this day I've learned my lesson. If he can play, then get him.
For the most part I don't like living and dying with small cb out wide, but there's always exceptions ( Bandy,Joyner).
Brandon Flowers, Janoris Jenkins etc etc.
It's all about the hips, not the size of the CB. Give me guys that can flip their hips and run with guys who don't mind putting a hat on a hat.
Remember months ago back when people like me were telling yall that Asante Jr was the best pure Cover Corner in the 2018 class & a bunch of yall would say I was crazy, or that it was Jobe/Surtain & it's not even close?
Yeah, well... Here we are.

That myself & others was saying early on that he was better Cover Corner than he had been getting credit for.Remember months ago back when people like me were telling yall that Asante Jr was the best pure Cover Corner in the 2018 class & a bunch of yall would say I was crazy, or that it was Jobe/Surtain & it's not even close?

Here we are looking at your choice as a backup for someone we aren't getting? What is your point here exactly?
And also that Jobe isn't the be all end all that he was hyped up to be.
They need to let me be on staff next year once I retire just to keep up with the board . This board puts out a lot elite targets and I’ll do it for free
I'll take a dog like Samuel any day of the week over that camp warrior Kaindoh's Kuck. Fck the height issue. Samuel will cover your *** and force QBs to make perfect throws to beat his lack of height.
I know most on this board will say he’s a good coach. If Rumph whiffs on Jobe, Samuels, Campbell, and Surtain then he’s a MASSIVE failure as a recruiter. He needs to be replaced or the 10th coaching spot has to go to a Stud recruiter. There’s no excuse with the type of success and hype UM has had for only Ivey (albeit he maybe underrated) and Blades to be the top CBs in this class. You add in that Rumph coached 2 of these kids and it magnifies the problem.
The staff is crazy if they aren’t recruiting Wilson with who we have committed. They better know a lot of somethings we don’t. UM needs at least 3 press corners for this defense to be elite. Only landing 1 of the top 6 CBs in South FL is unacceptable. Add in the fact the only one is a legacy lock.
We’ll see what happens. It’s still way early to start calling for heads. However, there’s definitely reasons to be concerned if Jobe flips. This has to be the easiest year for UM coaches to recruit probably ever. FSU and UF both have new staffs, we have brand new facilities, and the God**** Turnover Chain!!!

That still doesn’t mean the staff hasn’t whiffed big time if they don’t land 2 more of these studs. I didn’t know Banda was heading Jobe’s recruitment. Who’s heading the recruitment of Samuels, Surtain, and Campbell?
samuel, blades, surtain, campbell, frierson, hall = no fly zone

So this definitely means Jobe is really gone huh? **** shame, kid's been committed to The U since June of 2015 and after all that he's gonna flip to Bama and Coach Satan. Huge disappointment, huge loss. No other way to put it.
