This article states that top players with enough game tape can choose to opt out the season & forgo into the NFL draft. Daniel Jeremiah also agrees. IMO this wouldn’t be bad if Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne both the top players in their position group choose to opt out. No matter what Lawerence is going #1 overall people believe he’s a generational talent. Unless Justin Fields has a Joe burrow type season. Clemson is still going to be Clemson no matter what but if we take those two offensive juggernauts out and in a raw offensive line. We can maybe escape Death Valley with a W or close L.

I hope they stay. I don’t want any excuses on either side. May the best team win.
I don’t want excuses either but this sunshine kid is the difference between a 35 pt swing. Having him out of the game at least gives us a chance at a W. Unless him and king duel out in a classic

Trevor might have a decision but Travis made his decision before the last draft, he could of went early last year.. He chose to come back and ball.. Would be a waste
Could be the case. Was he clear cut RB1 in last years draft? I remember. Deandre swift being the only RB that was clear cut 1st rd talent.

If coaches suspect a problem with opting out, they can ask Sheryl Sandberg to come tell the players to "lean in."

The NFL should allow for a 2 round supplemental draft as a one off for this year. Teams in the NFL will need extra players and this eases the burden on the high level collegiate players. It would be apropo considering the circumstances.

The politics and revenue that the draft generates may not align to make something like this to work though.

Don't see him opting out (even though it's the smart thing financially-speaking) but who knows - maybe his uber-religious nature allows him to view this as a sign not to play CFB and go pro.

Also for the "I want to beat them at their best, no excuses" crowd - yeah yeah sure beating them at their best is awesome (unlikely tho if we're being 100% honest), but if goldie locks sits out it becomes a seriously winnable game.

That's actually a great point I totally forgot about - we need him to get her pregnant so he's uber cautious to not affect the pregnancy.

Who wants to poke a hole in the rubber?

Bingo. And let’s be honest the jags or [insert a terrible team] have traded for capital and will tank for someone of his caliber. I say Lawrence plays the first 5 games max. Clemson Goes 5-0 4-1. Dabo sits him out for the rest of the year. If we play Clemson in the latter half of the schedule that’s better for us.

Can you imagine the Gator spinz we would have to endure, though?
