Toryque Bateman is a 2017 LT from Alabama that is just massive at 6'8" 300lbs. He has an interesting mix of schools recruiting him, including Miami, Michigan, UK, and Tenn.

This guy is a huge wild card. What really surprised me was that Wisconsin offered him after filling up their OL class that already has 4 guys that are all in-state players in a class that will be limited to only 15 schollies at most. I'm from WI and I'm very in-tune w their class and that is a VERY odd move for them. So I'm assuming he is wide open.

He has a offer and 247 list his interest in miami as warm along with 4 other schools. So the staff is likely on him already.

[MENTION=3202]Fightinibis[/MENTION] yea, he does, as well as IMG, Texas and Mississippi. Area recruiters put recruits in touch with their position coach and Searels is on this guy ....btw you guys know we're actually recruiting this kid right?? He's supposedly visiting late June

**** sounds like Michigan is taking a page from the Cane Shades book.

Good interview with the young man, gives great insight into the young man's personality. He will definitely need to red-shirt wherever Bateman goes then he could be a P5 starter by his R-Soph year. With premier 2017 Off Tackles flying off the board, it may be that time for Coach Searels to start showing this young man a little more Miami love, if things don't start picking up in 2017 Oline recruiting.

Hopefully Miami makes a very good impression on 2017 OT Alex Leatherwood this weekend at Paradise Camp.

[MENTION=10777]orange&green[/MENTION] Michigan is way more lenient with athletic admissions than Miami is.
