2026 Tomuhini Topui 4* DT from Mater Dei Flips to USC from Oregon

@DMoney says we're trying to flip Oregon commit Tomuhini Topui and Gaby has him penciled in our class so there's something cooking here. Another for the Poly pipeline and we continue to try to pluck someone out of Mater Dei. We first offered him last year in March.

With the team off for spring break, the staff is even more locked in on recruiting. Here are some names to monitor as business begins to pick up:

- Miami is aggressively pursuing offensive linemen in this class, which they believe is the best in years. This includes high-profile uncommitted targets (Jackson Cantwell, Keenyi Pepe) and flips. Two potential targets for a flip: four-star Mississippi State commit Emanuel Tucker (New Albany, MS) and Louisville commit Joel Ervin (Fort Myers). Miami is very high on the upside of both.

Pair him with James Johnson and that's the best DT combo we have had in a class in, I can't recall, the 2000's. You could probably say the same for Johnson and Anderson out of LA, but I feel better about Topui Oregon than getting Anderson from LSU.

Tomohini Topui is an absolute stud! Kid is a future 5 star and a wrecking ball at DT. Please bring us this kid! We need to be more consistent in our DT recruiting and this would be a great start. DT recruiting separates the true contenders from the pretenders.
