Apologies if mentioned before...

Was watching the all star game. The #1 recruit, the DE that decommitted from Clemson and is headed to Ol'Moss, was standing next to Tim Williams. They have that guy listed at 6'4, assuming that is right, TW looked at least 4" shorter - at least - than that kid.
Is anyone concerned about his size and being a tweener of sorts? I love the kid's effort and heart, but Shayon Green is a handicap out there. Golden recruits size and I'm surprised an offer was extended to Williams. Is he projected as a possible outside-linebacker?

Totally trust AG, but this one had me curious.

Thanx

Probably 6'3, but has really long arms and wiry strength. Check this video out. You can see Tim at 15 seconds in and a couple other times throughout the video.

Who on earth would want a smaller football player, with high football IQ, who goes hard on every play?

Rohan Marley.webp

Maybe 6'3" is a bit generous but he looks pretty darn good against top linemen. His arms are much longer than they should be for his height it seems and boy is he quick off the ball. I like a lot

Don't see how 6'3 is generous seeing he is universally measured at 6'3 and 6'4. This is really stupid to assume without actually standing next to him.

Stop w the marley stuff. I loved the dudes attitude, fire and reckless play, but, he was an average lb here.

Not really. He looks short in the video compared to the others. Saying its stupid to assume is like saying its stupid to call a guy slow or fast with out running along side them. That's dumb.

You're judging by a camera. Are you saying that every recruiting service known to man is lying about his height? Dude has been to camps and been measured. No, I won't think it's reasonable to watch a highlight and say definitively what his height is or isn't. There's evidence that supports his height being around 6'3

So you're saying guys' listed heights and weights are gospel?

appeared to have no problem beating those guys, unlike a few that got stonewalled, and he is probably the farthest away from his physical ceiling compared to the other dl's in that clip. want.

No, I'm saying that the listed heights and weights on numerous recruiting sites and combines, are worth more than a fan looking at a highlight and making a judgement on the height.

NO

Tim Williams is a special talent. Get him here. Redshirt him. Play sparingly and add depth as RS FR. By sophomore year ready to contribute in a major way and by junior year one of the nations best. Thats the type of talent I see in Tim Williams. An important part of this class.

Beat his man every time. Against great talent.

What's the question here? Is a he a good player, or is he short? I'm personally concerned with his ability against top notch competition.

My money says OP got confused with what he saw. I haven't seen anything from pictures to video going against OL (whose heights we can compare to Tim) to reports from those who see Williams live to assume that he is any shorter than 6'3.

If I had to bet I'd say that maybe Tim Williams was standing next to Chris Jones (the DE going to Miss. State) that is about 6'6-6'7 and was one of the other standout DEs in addition to Nkemdiche (who may actually be an inch or 2 shorter than his listed height)

Summary: not worried

Average? ****** lulz!

1992 vs WVU.

Average LBs dont make 15 tackles in 1 game. Stop hating.

Id have Rohan in my top 12-15 LBs to play for the Canes. Maybe a little higher if I really looked at it.
