Gaby and David Lake go over

  1. Flip candidates
  2. New names to watch for
  3. Highly recruited, uncommitted players they want to sign

Miami looking to sign around 25.

RB:

Confirmed Lyle visited for A&M game, interest/smoke is real. Will be interesting to watch RB recruiting unfold. Making a real step forward as a senior.

WR

Ny Carr. Confirmed he's actively looking around and the interest in Miami is real.

TE

Amir Jackson

OL

Lake asked Gaby why they skipped this group.
Gaby says they have the class they want but are watching for recruits to blow up their senior years
Markel Bell is the one name, but that name doesn't have a lot of traction

DT

Francis Brewu, Miami is pressing here. Miami values/covets. Pitt committment may be wavering. Projects like a Deen

Breland. Miami is in this one.

There's another major blue chip DT they're chasing, but Gaby says he can't release the name.

Edge

Pickett. Name he's watching closest

LB

Adarius Hayes is the prize here. Will be tough to flip from the Gates

CB

Ellis Robinson
Major blue chip name Miami is working to flip. Can't release name.
Mincey (Miami will give him a shot at CB if he signs)

Safety

Xavier Lucas

I call BS on that one.

Lyle is an interesting recruitment.

Both teams have a back committed that is rated higher. Both teams have had success producing RB's. We are the hometown school and they have held his commitment since the summer.

Just like we stole an OOS Edge player from Michigan in back-to-back cycles... I've got a feeling Mario is preparing to go back-to-back on local running backs committed to OSU.

Since people are wondering why certain recruits weren't covered in the podcast, I re-listened to the open. These were the categories they were covering in the podcast

  1. Flip candidates
  2. New names to watch for
  3. Highly recruited, uncommitted players they want to sign
OP has been updated w/the clarification.

If we're trying to raid O$U for flips, my priorities are:
  1. Scott
  2. Smith
  3. Lyle
However, you take whoever from that list who is willing to flip

No doubt. Smith is number 1 for me. I think he's the best player in the country and he's from a school in our backyard.
I stopped paying attention to Scott when he committed to OSU. Until he comes back down on a visit while committed elsewhere (Like Rudolph, Lyles, Smith have done). I don't think its a realistic flip.

If there is a blue chip DT that we are chasing whos name cant be released..that usually means hes committed which imo would have to be Scott or Stone. Strong lean to Stone especially seeing how everything played out at his commitment day. Not saying he flips but i cant see Mario letting this one go.

The vibe on the trail has totally flipped after A&M so i can see the double back being strong. Not only do we look alot better, some schools look worse than in the past, even though its early. Schools like Ohio and Bama for example, even UGA to an extent not looking their invincible best.

One name not mentioned that i think we probably still after is Stewart. I really wanted that guy in this class. And with 🐓 looking like **** so far it might be tough for them down the stretch to hold on to him.

I don’t think there’s any secret about us still pursuing Scott/Stone, it’s 99.9% someone else.

I wonder why Ny Carr is looking around now after being committed there for so long. They've got the top QB in the country committed and they don't exactly have the deepest WR room. With the numbers he's putting up I can't imagine they're moving on. Maybe he just doesn't like their offense..?
