1. Who are the quarterbacks who are carrying losing teams? Let’s find them. If you look at to Cam’s production at WSU, he really wasn’t that explosive. Yards per pass has gone from around 7 to over 10. TDs, explosives, everything is up significantly. He’s already thrown the same amount of TDs as he would due in a season.
The reality is that any quarterback we bring in is going to go from a situation where he has a mid to poor supporting cast to having a talent advantage across the board.
2. When I see the special teams, the thing that strikes me is that we’re playing a bunch of young inexperienced players. Maybe we should put some of our more experienced guys who aren’t getting a lot of snaps.
3. Don’t get me wrong because Mario has done a great job building up the program but this is year 3 and the defense is abysmal. Given the resources is it too much to expect a little more on that side of the ball? Also why can’t we recruit more balanced classes. Why is it the year of the oline or the dline or secondary?
Still the end product is what matters and you can’t really complain.
