Thoughts on the potential of the current Miami program

Last year Miami's out of shape, weak, selfish, and undisciplined Talent was able to win 6 games.... half of a twelve game season.

Al Golden's program is made to get players disciplined mentally, stronger, and more conditioned than they have ever been. Also his program is designed to bring players closer to each other which makes them want to play unselfishly for their team.... not just themselves and their NFL dreams. If there are players who don't want to buy in to the system, than he will get rid of them and move on.... simple as that.

If Miami's Talent with nothing else to add, gave us 6 wins last year, with 6 close losses... I believe that Al Golden's ability to correct those other issues can equate to an additional 6 wins. IMO, Miami is going to get back to being nationally respected a lot sooner than people think.

I truly believe we are gonna win at least 9 games. Yes we are young and this in some areas but we have leadership on this team.

This year is tough. Really tough to expect anything.

Pretty soon though we are going to overtake VT as the perennial team that goes to the ACCCG, depending on future conference shuffling. This should help us get back to the BCS quicker than maybe we should.

The future is very bright even with the NCAA stuff still coming. Golden will navigate us through the storm. It will be like in The Perfect Storm where one storm merges into the other creating a storm that the college football world hasn't seen since we did it before. VT is George Clooney, FSU is Marky Mark, and the ACC is the Andrea Gale.

A 3-0 start would be great for recruiting and continuity. A 4-2 record at the halfway point would still be considered a success. 8-4 would be a complete success and still encourage and not discourage potential recruits. Anything below 7 wins will be tough to sell due to all of the NCAA stuff around us.

I agree with papacane

These freshmen and sophs are going to get their noses bloodied and their bodies beaten. And in 2014, we will see the dividends of it. Golden just gets it.

We need 8 regular season wins, and a good bowl performance. Gotta start this thing up at somepoint. We haven't won a bowl game since god **** 2006.
