I have done a lot of research on the 2014 class and I am ready to say that the 2014 class has a larger amount of playmakers than 2013. I'm not saying that the 2013 class is bad, but it is short, especially for us considering the small class.
If Miami plays its cards correctly, Miami can have a top ten class for in 2014. While it looks like it could be a big class, I can assure you it will be very similar in comparison to the current class, possibly a bit bigger. The main factor is that the 2014 class will most likely be the class hit with scholarship reductions.
Personally, I expect no more then five scholarships, but depending on the number it could be a major factor. For example, take a guy like a Jacob McCrary. I think the kid is a monster but the truth is Miami might only be able to take 2 WR in that class and he might be the odd man out considering his commitment to FSU. There is still a lot to be determined.
