If they win the ACC, they will go down as one of the most resilient group of men to ever walk through this program

Looking at our roster, each position group has at least one senior.

Leadership will be key

Injuries will not allow us to win the ACC. No depth in key spots and the DL is too thin make it through the year.

You guys need to take off the OG glasses.

Golden is getting us there. 2 years away from beasting.

9-3 if Duke, Porter and Morris remain healthy.

While I'm not expecting it or demanding it at this point (unlike those saying Golden will be on the "hot seat" if we don't have 11 wins and an ACC championship), it's still very much in the realm of possibility. Even if we go 9-3 we could still win the ACC. We have the talent to beat any team in the ACC on a good day. Even if we stumble a few times during the season due to injuries, bad games, whatever, if we get to the ACC championship game, we have a decent shot at winning it.

On paper right now we do not have great depth. But we do have enough to make a run in the ACC. The key will be who will step up and become a star. We've had our share of hype with the Ray-Rays of the world. It's time for a group of hungry unheralded kids led by Perryman, Chickillo, Duke & Morris to become household names. Who was Tyrian Matheu before he became the Honey Badger? He was just an unknown undersized safety/nickel corner. Guys like (mostly defense) Bush, Kirby, Howard, McCord, Larry Hope, Gunter, Both Crawfords, M. Lewis, Hamilton, Waters, Scott, Have to become above average to great players. In the prior regimes we waited and waited and waited on guys to blossom and improve. We were shown flashes at times but those players never could compete at a high level for an extended period of time. We have an Dymanic Sr. QB, veteran OL and one of the best all around players in Division 1. Every team in the country success is based on health and injuries. If we can avoid a major injury to Morris or Duke we should be in the hunt for the ACCCG.

This will be the best senior class since Goldens took over. That's not saying much, but it's worth noting. I'm expecting pretty much all of these guys to play quite a bit.

Very well written and exellent points made IMO...

We should have played for the ACC chip last year so I agree with the OP 80's we can win it this year and these seniors will be remembered for it. The only team in our division to worry about IMO is North Carolina but they lost their best OL Cooper and Giovanni. But Dandycane has a point we still lack depth at LB, CB, DT and DE and we are 2 years away from BCSNC contention.

The guys will have to have beaten 5-0 facing these guys and confidence at an all time high...its their place on a thursday ( sell out and loud )...The bad part is our old school canes relied on the D to take the game over and shut the crowd down not allowing any excitement..not sure how this D is going to be...My guess we are 7-0 heading into Doak...

Are these in order of value to the team or ability as a player? Either way I think any list has to have Morris at the top and Linder second. We live and die by Morris and he produced last year in a serious way. Linder has produced his whole career at a high level. It remains to be seen if Henderson and Porter fulfill their potential even with the flashes they have shown. Both may get drafted higher but I think Morris and Linder have better years, and my power rankings would be for next year's performance.
