My wife refuses to go to Dolphins games because the first game I took her to was the 2001 playoffs against the Ravens. She was so bored she actually fell asleep. First UM game I took her to was the 2002 FSU game, so she likes Canes' games.

It won't ruin her interest in college football. Females fake interest in football. They don't care no matter what they tell you. Now, she might like the atmosphere, the social aspect, and excitement. So, yeah, if it's a crappy experience, those things won't figure into it, and she won't even fake liking college football.
