Made me appreciate what the staff got done last year even more.

They really inherited almost nothing.

Coach D had one of the most depthless, inexperienced rosters devoid of upperclassmen with talent I can recall. Remember, we were a bad football team BEFORE the genius brigade all abandoned the program for the NFL early.

I am not ready to condemn the defensive staff yet. They had almost nothing to work with. ****, everyone here was excited about Green all year. Green. A DE with ZERO sacks. That's how bad it was. Add in the injuries... Ugh.

Even this year it's not pretty. ****, it's kind of ugly. I'm very worried about pass rush, DL, and depth everywhere. We're one or two injuries from being screwed.

That said, I expect a marked improvement regardless. Just on familiarity and Utough.
 
We didnt beat a single player on that list except Glennon

I like and appreciate a lot of things our staff is doing, but we didnt overachieve last year imo.

We got blasted by every good team we played and we had 2 questionable losses.

We were more talented than every team we beat IMO

I think Miami would have beaten UNC if Morris stayed healthy and UVA if not for the suspensions. The defense was a stack of cards as it was and then the suspensions...It was men against boys with KSU and ND. They were manhandled. Just the increase in maturity and strength will help, but they really need the DL to step up this year.

so there was no difference in wins compared to last year despite a considerable drop in NFL talent.
LOL last year we had fools ragging on Golden winning 7 games with mid to late round talent. Wonder if they'll give him credit for winning 7 games with no NFL talent.
 
Just imagine...we got blasted by ND and ND got tortured in the National Title Game....we're on the road to being back, but until we win 10+ this season, that's all we're on is the long winding road.

People forget how talentless our defense was last season. Most true freshmen don't come in and play lights out right away. Off that alone, i'm giving coach d one more year.
