Tyrell Shavers committed to Bama today. Most expected him to pick texas instead.

Bama strength is getting top oos talent because there just isn't enough elite talent in bama. Hope this does affect Jeudy's decision. He's more familiar with the WR's we have coming in and may feel he can beat them out.

Where would bama be without OOS recruiting? Do they produce anything in that sorry excuse for a state?

I hate Bama and Satan too but there are many programs that wouldn't exist without OOS recruiting. Notre Dame being the most obvious. That Nebraska dynasty of the mid 90's wouldn't have happy without OOS recruiting. While many of our greatest players were OOS Maryland, Reed, McKinney, Kosar, Kelly, Dorsey, Reggie Wayne, Jeremy Shocked ect UM has more than enough talent at home to field a competitive team.

It also seems to me that lately FSU has begun to rely much more on OOS recruiting. If Richt deos what we think he's going to do then they will have to rely on it much more.

Per capita, Alabama is often in the top 5 of producing states in the country, much like Mississippi and South Carolina.....

Dang it, I'd rather have Shavers, dude is a monster

But does he stay at WR? No way in **** does he run a 4.38 either, he is a match up problem though, Jeudy is faster than him. Shavers had a better QB and probably coaching too, I'd be thrilled with Jeudy.

That 4.38 was electronically clocked....might not run that exactly but he's really fast. BTW he's 200 lbs he's staying at WR

they do have their share of elite prospects but I think they're rarely up for grabs like the south fla guys, i could be wrong but i think jameis was the last well known elite player to not stay in state at bama or auburn
