For years, 4* and 5* kids from Heritage made business decisions. We weren't even considered seriously. At best, we'd get a courtesy visit. However, the there was a gleam of hope in the 2023 cycle. I meant to create this thread a few weeks ago, but got distracted. This article reminded me to create it.

Part I here. IMG was just as unrealistic before Mario

If Cormani didn't wig out at the end, Lakeland would be the next candidate school in this series. But it remains fools gold from a recruiting standpoint.

I believe this may be what sparked the idea. I remember almost fell out of my chair at work reading that.

Yea, that's the tweet that originated the thread idea for me. Thanks for the reminder

This is how we get back to keeping the top local players at home. We've had a good relationship with Chaminade. We're making inroads at Heritage. We need to increase our presence at STA.

Add the recent success at IMG and the solid relationships with the Dade powerhouses and we might just start winning the battles against Alabama and Ohio State.

That was the most disappointing aspect of it. I wanted inroads to Poke Cowny big time. Still hoping for the same this cycle in terms of the Panhandle.

Getting Stafford and McCoy were nice starts, too. Need to do much better around the state.
