A HS team has a logo on the field is much bigger than ours at HRS. @Rellyrell
Embarrassing.
This is why we keep you around!Yes, the key is licensing. As long as there is an agreement and even a MODEST payment, then our copyrights and trademarks are protected. If you don't take action to defend and license these things, then you lose them.
Was having an interesting conversation with some folks this weekend, apparently "Vintage" brand products have bought up a bunch of lapsed/undefended trademarks and copyrights. Including...Sebastian with a corncob pipe...
A few years back, Miami caught some flak because we had to contact Umatilla (Florida) high school about their use of the split-U. Everything is fine now, but initially Umatilla got the notification letter and tried to humiliate UM for being such a big bad bully.
It’s like OP has never seen a high school team his entire life. College and pro logos are literally everywhere.
Jackson Generals use this logo or at least used to with GB colorsIt’s extremely common for high schools to utilize the logo of higher level programs/teams.
I mean the UGA and Green Bay G are everywhere.

It's not just high school teams who do it. UGA is a good example of a college program ripping off a pro team logo, Green Bay. It's lame for high school programs to do it, it's embarrassing to see college programs do it.It’s extremely common for high schools to utilize the logo of higher level programs/teams.
