I warned people about Carol City's return two years ago and during that time I mentioned Southridge from the moment Coach Rolle got the job ,that they were going to be on the come up again. The time has come.

The division 1 talent Southridge possesses across the board, phenomenal. A former juggernaut in Dade County Football is back.

I'll be coming out to their spring practice soon as a couple of my close friends played for Coach Rolle when he was at Killian.

23 Division 1 caliber talents. Possibly more to emerge in their younger classes.

2017:
Cody Bowes - OL
Antwan Collier - ATH
Shawn Davis - CB/S
Nadarius F'agan - LB/S
Kemore Gamble - WR/TE
Billy Gibson Jr. - S
Natron Grayson - S
Juwan Horn - CB
Brandon James - LB
Deandre Johnson - DE
Coemba Jones Jr. - CB
Tremaine Roundtree - OL
Rodney Scott - WR
Bentavious Thompson - RB

2018:
Randy Charlton - DE
Michael Cox Jr. - QB
Jordan Dillard - WR
James Head Jr. - DE
Mark Pope - WR (Recently reclassified from 2019)
Daquris Wiggins - WR

2019:
Diamante Howard - LB
Chris McDonald Jr - CB
Courtney Reese - RB

Kids flock to Coach Rolle, wherever he goes. What happened to Killian this offseason is what happened to Southridge when Coach Rolle showed up at Killian. History is just repeating its self.

Wiggins is the best receiver in dade not named Dingle IMO and pope needs to come too...Quick question Geo305 what do you think are the chances of Miami offering Brandon James?? DMoney brought up his clip and I pegged him as the perfect Rover back prospect because he played safety before playing Linebacker. I think he has starter potential and USC offered in January.

I had Wiggins pegged as Dade Counties best WR for 2018 for a while, (Elijah Moore & Xavier Williams the two best for Broward at WR for 2018). Pope reclassifying to 2018 definitely makes a VERY STRONG case there now too for Dade County. (My top dogs for 2019 at WR so far were Pope, Breion Fuller, and Kalani Norris. Pope not a part of that class anymore) (Fuller been killing it lately against some of the best DBs the area has to offer)

Mark Pope has killed it at a lot of these big events, especially the south Florida all star team he was selected to with Hot Rod(Rodney Scott) & Kevaughn Dingle to go up to Louisiana a few weeks ago and they won the tourney. Yes, Bama leads and one of the main reasons was/is because he's been enamored with how Amari Cooper went up there and did so well for them since his optimist days with Palmetto. I was told through a local youth coach that Miami is really just about the only team that can make a difference there, he's close with 2018 St. Thomas Aquinas WR Elijah Moore as well. (Scott, Moore, Wiggins, and Pope all play for FL Fire.)

Coach Rolle made a big difference in keeping Pope at Southridge. He was originally going to attended Booker T. Washington. Coach Rolle has fixed a lot of things at The Ridge. Current Canes like Jaquan Johnson & Dionte Mullins were supposed to go to Southridge.

Will take a lot for any team to pry away Wiggins. He's all in with Miami. I discovered Wiggins his freshman year at Killian when I would go watch Jaquan play.(My brother was an alum of Killian as well as one of our close family friends NFL LB Stephen Tulloch)

As for Brandon James. I do like him but I have some guys ahead of him that I prefer at LB. I do prefer F'agan before him as well if we took a rover type. (Staffs two highest priorities at LB are Wilder & Miller). I got to see more of James in person at The Opening Regional, while his forty was impressive, there was other guys who were just a bit better at LB. He does have potential though.

LSU is very interested in taking F'agan. He's the real deal, I was told one of the issues why Miami didn't offer is because his position is not set in stone.

You mean 2004? I played against that team in HS.

I'm a little late to the party. Bentavious Thompson is going to Southridge now? As a Killian grad from a long time ago, this blows. Kids used to bleed green and gold. Would've never thought about switching schools and going to your arch rival. Guess it's all about getting set up for the next level. Was he not going to get a scholarship if he stayed at Killian?

Yea 2004... my bad... it was the year after Bobby left, and Dwight Lee took over and was balling..but it was Larry Scott who ran Orlando Edgewater out the building that game...

So what you're saying...is that we need to find a support staff position for Coach Rolle

Imo, this isn't all rolle. He's brought in coaches that can bring in players. His OC, Cooney (former gables oc), was responsible for bringing in a lot of the talent that has recently gone to coral gables. His DB coach, had the most loaded pop Warner team in the history of the southern part of dade (Tim Irvin, quan, lane, etc...). Those coaches are also in charge of team fire south. They're involved year round with top recuits from different schools. They also take players to different colleges during the summer, so they have established relationships with different college coaches. With the new transfer rules, I can see the ridge being the perennial leader in SFL transfers. Similar to STA, just without the appeal to oos players.

Despite all their talent, I'll hold off on calling them a national power until they actually win something and beat a legit team (same with carol city). They were loaded last year and still lost to every quality team.

Shawn Davis - CB/S - Offered (Top Target)
Nadarius F'agan - LB/S - Staff Evaluating
Kemore Gamble - WR/TE - Former Commit - Is the staff still recruting?
Billy Gibson Jr. - S - COMMITTED
Deandre Johnson - DE - Staff Evaluating?
Rodney Scott - WR - COMMITTED
Bentavious Thompson - RB - COMMITTED

Yes coach Cooney helps to a certain extent. Kids know what coach Rolle brings to the table. State titles. Cooney is a canes fan but he doesn't steer kids, he looks out for the best for them.

Carol City & Southridge problems have been in the trenches. Both have been fixing that. I still don't think Carol City gets past the bump with Central just yet but I do have Southridge down as my favorite to win 8A this year.

Carol City did beat Central during the season last year.(Thanks to Nayquan clutch long run) but Central demolished them in the playoffs. CC is closing the gap though to getting back to a state chamionship. What sets central apart from them is the trenches, CC gets better there, they can take 6A easy. I got Central taking 6A again though.

While Wilder and Ventrelle Miller are my LB favorites, I would like to see N'Darius F'agan on board too. One, is the new era requires that speedy hybrid LB/S type and he fits that role better than anyone. Two, with a few teammates already committed, it can't but help but ingratiate the U with a hs that will become a talent factory for years to come. Plus it's not like we're offering a kid that can't ball. Not sure how the staff will handle all the talent at WR. All can't play for the U. It is important we get the top # we offer each year.

Nice to see the old alma mater making waves, I was there when Soldinger was the head man

Davis looks like a pretty good press cb on film whats his 40 time? If he locked up Juedy in the scrimmage.... its a no brainer.....do not let this kid get away.
