The Opening 2016 | WR vs DB 1 on 1's

Impressions based on these clips:

WR

T Grimes on another level. Breaks the jam, excellent short area moves, great hands and terrific long speed. Wow.
J Jeudy. Good size and physicality. Sharp moves and exceptional hands.
D Smith. Smooth glider. But not yet physical enough. Got manhandled

DB

S Samuels. Very big. Yet, quick and agile to go with his physicality. Another wow.
T Bandy. Quick, aggressive, feisty. Looks like an excellent nickel CB.
M Wilson. Willing to jam. Has attitude and speed. Needs 10+ lbs of muscle.

Who is D'Angelo Gibbs? Most physical DB out there. I'll look him up.

Every time I watch one of these with Jeudy in it, by the time the ball comes, the defender isn't within 5 yards of him.

Elite separation brah

Trevon Grimes is the best WR. Of all the reps I saw and the only one with Henderson, there was no separation. Bandy in his clip was right there meaning no YAC would have happened.

Didn't notice good acceleration from Marco Wilson. Surtain Jr. I noticed with his size can stay with the receiver and change the route well also.

Did Darney Holmes throw up the U at Trey Blount at the 3:05 mark.

Grimes and Jeudy are as advertised.

All of the SF DBs looked good. C. J. Henderson is as quick as he is fast - ridiculous talent.

It actually looks like he did throw up the U

Jeudy smoked everyone including all the sofl DBs. Smith got manhandled by all the DBs he touched...Need a full court press on Jeudy

-I felt like Trajan Bandy did enough to stick with Jeudy, but was never in position to jump on the route. As someone above mentioned, no YAC.
-Jerry Jeudy was working everyone
-Trevon Grimes looked on another level
-Henderson looked good in his 1 clip
-That TE Calcaterra looked really good
-I don't think D'Angelo Gibbs performance matched his ranking...he had problems keeping his balance in about 50% of his clips. He was being very physical, and the times where he did keep his balance he finished the plays with his hands inbetween the WR hands.
-Devontae Smith looked like a high 3 star trying to get his 4th star. Doesn't look like someone who just "earned" his 5th star
I dislike how they only highlighted 1 Henderson clip, and the only reps of Trajan shown was against Jeudy

The irony that the video is paused at 3:05 for this screen shot

Grimes was far and above any other WR...Saban's got to be licking his chops...
