Is a miserable feeling. There is a problem with the team when you can't even get excited when the offense scores and you just sit there like a mope. After Waters scored I barely showed any emotion and my kids were jumping up and down and they were confused why I wasn't happy. I told them unless there was a handoff exchange fumble or 2 holding penalties there was no way we were going to stop (gasp) DUKE! I even told them it was in our best interest to onside the kick every time we scored. It would of been also. Watching canes football should not be like this! I'm hoping to become comfortably numb for the rest of the season.

I honestly think if we ran the percentages and mathematically figured out the odds of recovering an onside vs our percentages of holding the opposing offense, we may have a better shot with an onside every time. Of course I am being slightly facetious...but one or two onsides attempts yesterday could have kept us in it. But who the **** am I kidding? We don't even attempt a fourth and one, down 8 with six to go. The used car salesman seriously has full faith in this abomination we call a defense.

I feel for your kids. I was fortunate enough to grow up during a different era. Heartbreak for me was losing to Alabama in the Sugar or Nebraska in the Orange while enjoying titles in the other years. Sad that losing to Duke is their disappointment.

True! I feel the same. It's not funny to watch UM football anymore. While 17-7 ahead and having the ball I knew that the offense will blew it. I would have bet my house that we won't go ahead two tds or more. It's travesty watching it right now.
