First off, congratulations to OJ and Lofton for getting on here. They both have very bright futures at the U.

Recruiting has been elevated to a level that should have us competing on the national stage with the likes of the heavyweights (UGA, Bama, OSU, Texas, Oregon, etc.)

The next step, however, is landing some more instant-impact true freshmen at game-changing positions. Jeremiah Smith, Colin Simmons, Dylan Stewart, Ryan Williams, Dylan Raiola, even Jacorey Barney…guys that we missed on that are tearing it up and/or have made a seamless transition to CFB.

It’s nice to have two guys on there, but TE and Corner simply aren’t the same as having a true freshman dominate on the DL or WR.

Even guys left off this list like Stanquan Clark…we just have to nail and close on a few more of these studs. I trust Mario to land some more of these guys with the wins we’re accumulating.

Keep winning and it should come to fruition.

Why don't you think it is possible for a TE to have the same type of impact as a WR? I think Brock Bowers was, by far, the most impactful offensive skill position player on UGAs 2022 championship team. He led the team in receiving yards and TDs.

BTW- Interesting that their 2nd leading receiver in 2022, Ladd McConkey, was a 3 star who ended up being a 2nd round pick, and he's now WR1 for the Raiders. Goes to show that even on a national championship team in the NIL era, you don't necessarily need 5 star WRs like Jeremiah Smith and Ryan Williams- especially when you have a TE that is so dominant.

I’d like to see Lofton on the field a lot more. To me he is our biggest variable in that he can run, block and catch, and will be a mismatch for almost any defender. I liked when he was the lead back v Cal. I loved when we threw to him both against Cal and the long pass from Emory.

I honestly would like to see more 2 WR sets with just X and Horton, and then use the 2nd TE or a TE plus Lofton (whatever you want to label him as). We can put Arroyo or Lofton in the slot as well. If our 3rd WR is not as strong a player as Lofton or Riley Williams, then roll out our best.

Barney only has a couple catches @JZCane0825 odd that he is listed here.

Looking at the 5 stars who are the instant monsters. I dont mean contributors...I mean bordering on difference makers.

--Sanchez - probably the one guy who you watch and see "it"
--Griffin - maybe....not sure if he is quite to Simmons or Stewart level...but if he gets on a campus early that could change.

I'd add Moore to any list. He will be special.

Jordan Seaton is about to make himself a LOT of money. Dude's gonna get whatever he wants once he enters the portal.

I think Barney Sr. keeps making these list..

Avg >> 25 ypg, 0 TD receptions

260 yd and 2TDs in 5 games is pretty good for a true freshman, no? If JoJo had that we would be raising another greentree statue. Now for the record, Im not saying he is better than JoJo.
That's why I'm saying I don't know the context. When one of our players does that if it's against a Ball State type everyone wants to wait until we play better teams which is normal. I agree I would like to see more from Jojo but at the same time we have two of the top 50 production WRs in the country right now I'm not sure that's the same for Nebraska.

Yeah, not even close(the WR depth), that said, kid has played well in his first 5 games in college.

Yeah spot on. Not sure how many teams would have prospects like JoJo and Ny Carr as their 6th and 7th WR options to start the year
