The Canes are 1-1 and still reeling from the 52-13 thrashing they took from the Kansas St. last week. Hopefully they take out some frustration on FCS school Bethune-Cookman (2-0). I really hate these games. When we played these guys last year, they scored first, and when the 4th quarter started, Miami only had a 24-14 lead. A couple of 4th quarter touchdown drives and a Kelvin Cain pick-6 made the final score look bigger than it really was. Let's see if I can seriously make it through this preview.
1. Where they are in the standings/rankings:

Our first (and only) FCS school on the schedule. And of course, we picked the one leading it's conference. If we're gonna play these ****** schools, we might as well go all in and bring in the ****tiest school there is. Whatever.
Bethune-Cookman is coming off of a 27-14 win over South Carolina St. Someone actually got paid to watch this game, and here is what they said about it.
AP said:ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Isidore Jackson ran for 88 yards and one touchdown to help Bethune-Cookman beat Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival South Carolina State 27-14 Saturday night. South Carolina State (1-1) scored the only points of the first quarter. Asheton Jordan's 5-yard run and Jalen Simmons' run from 3-yards out gave the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead. The Wildcats (2-0) got on the board in the second quarter with a fumble recovery in the end zone by Tyrone Bouie. Jackson then ran it in from four yards to tie the game at 14. Sven Hurd added a field goal to make the halftime lead 17-14. The Wildcats' defense took over, shutting down South Carolina State the rest of the way as Bethune-Cookman scored 27 unanswered points. Rodney Scott's 3-yard touchdown run was the lone score of the fourth quarter. This marked the 50th meeting between the teams with South Carolina State leading the series 31-18-1.
No clue what to make of any of that.
2. What happened the last time Miami played Bethune-Cookman?
From the Palm Beach Post:
Tom D'Angelo said:Bethune-Cookman had the best evidence it had Miami concerned for at least one half Saturday: The players saw it in the Hurricanes' eyes. "If you looked in their eyes they were a little timid. But they got a couple of big plays and they started relaxing and talking a little more trash," said Bethune defensive end Ryan Davis. "I thought we had them worried."..."If we can compete with an ACC team, the MEAC is going to be no problem," quarterback Jackie Wilson said of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Bethune-Cookman shared the conference title last season.
Great. Not only are we painfully mediocre, but the FCS school we're about to play wasn't even remotely impressed with us last year.
3. Who to be scared of:
Jackie Wilson
This is really just by default since he's their QB. He's not exactly RGIII, but last year Wilson was 21-of-31 for 180 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 20 yards and another touchdown. We did sack him 6 times though.
4. Player that will score against us:
Eddie Poole
Poole is a Muck kid from Belle Glade who was originally at Rutgers. When Bethune-Cookman's coach (Brian Jenkins) came down from Rutgers, Poole followed him there. He caught a touchdown against us last year that gave them their 7-0 lead to start the game. Be prepared for him to catch unlimited 3rd and long passes over the middle against our horrible defense.
5. Person that will **** you off:
Isadore Jackson
I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. He's got over 200 yards so far this year, albeit against FCS competition. He's bound to keep at least 1 drive alive against us this Saturday where Rogers or Gaines completely whiff on a tackle as he converts some 3rd and 4 run.
6. Official Internet meme for this game:
The Most Interesting Man in the World
Just smash the **** out of these guys without suffering anymore injuries so that we can have a full team for Georgia Tech.
