Who would have guessed that the pivotal moment in the Hurricane's recruiting season would come at the Army Game? The one day Cane recruitniks dread. Turns out we land Bush and McCord and you know that went a LONG way in what we were able to do with Howard.

Anyone who questions the role of momentum in recruiting just needs to look at the last couple of months for us, and even though it wasnt necessarily a "flurry", we landed some major prospects in some major positions.

Can't wait for the Army game next year!

I don't see "irony". I guess it's ironic that your post about irony didn't contain an actual example of irony?

Anyhoo, I agree (just not about the "irony" )
 
it's ironic because the Army game is usually brutal for us. this year it went very well for us and caused a big momentum push in our favor. that is the irony

We broke a lot of ground this year. Ended the Army AA curse. Kicked in the door, waivin' the .44 at Miramar and snatched up their 2 best players. Got a kid from Plant again and combined with last year, we are making headway into Tampa again. Getting a Columbus player for the first time in like 15 years. Only thing missing was getting a kid from Dwyer. Though I'm sure Corch Daniels ***** *** will fight that until the end.
 
No doubt. The buzz started with Bush, continued with McCord, paved the way for Howard and possibly, just possibly culminating in Young.....(I know I'm being greedy, but hey, why not, I'm not used to this on NSD).
