It was quiet in the stadium during that play, and I was sitting on the opposite end of the field, about 20 rows up. You could clearly hear the crack of the hit from where I was sitting, Washington got hammered, and as soon as I heard it I knew there was no way he had the first down.

how do you go for it on that 4th down, but not on the 4th and 1 from midfield that ends the game?

weird decisions all around

Yeah that was strange, but I guess after Miami's last few drives Johnson decided his D couldn't keep them out of the endzone. If it weren't for a phantom timeout, Miami would have won in regulation.

Johnson balled out big today. Kids got one **** of a future IMO!

Can't wait to watch these young Canes keep growing.

that and the rest of the BS calls the ref made..for instance the mysterious option pitch that was fumbled but was called an incomplete pass SMH..I was at the endzone that the OT was played in....and washingtone was def smashed. Paul johnson is a dope and their offense is a gimicky POS....they actually called the GT police to where we were sitting because we were apparently "too loud and rowdy" for the likes of the tech fans around us. they really hated us after james scored the winning TD...

The option pitch was the correct call, fyi. The ball was "pitched" forward, hence incomplete pass.

That incomplete pass call was correct. He pitched it forward so in effect it was a shuffle pass. He got very lucky that it did go forward otherwise it was a fumble.
