Saw this posted today on Twitter. Matched up all 16 champions from the BCS era to determine the greatest of the series. They got the greatest champion right. Not sure I agree with the runner up though. Alabama '09 or USC '04 would beat FSU '13 in my opinion.

'13 fsu was very fortunate last night a trick play got them some momentum to avoid a blow out that just about to happen, their offensive line and running game did not look all time great status to me at all. truthfully their players looked downright scared last night when nothing was going their way, that fake punt was the most important play of the game imo along with the chip shot FG miss by AU. auburn had more total yards, they converted more 3rd downs, fsu was something like 2 for 12. they owned fsu's o line. to me 13 fsu and 05 texas were more lucky than great

After that play FSU out scored auburn 31 - 10 the rest of the game

So the first quarter and a half auburn scored 21 points

The rest of the game they only scored 10 points you don't think FSU defense had anything to do with that

Doesn't sound like luck to me

05 Texas would have never made it out the gate past LSU, nor would FSU beat the 2012 Bama team.

Draw was kinda rigged though - both those teams lost to '01 Miami in that bracket.

Oops, misread the brackets. '04 USC does not lose to '13 FSU unless maybe Kermit returned a couple of kicks.

I take great satisfaction in that OSU loses in the first round to Alabama '09. If that bogus call hadn't been made, it would have been Miami '01 vs Miami '02. lol

the fsu defense stepped up in spurts nothing over whelming though auburn had its way with with fsu on the ground well over 400 yards of total offense for the game, a lucky trick play and an auburn player getting hurt on a kick return, a missed field goal yeah i'd say they were lucky

Aubrun did play a good game but whatever they did they didn't do enough because FSU is the national champions

If you aint the lead dog the view never changes. You cares about 2, 3, 4 .... The 01 Cane's team had players like ST, Gore, and McGahee who second or third team or playing other positions to get on the field. When ST, rip, can't break your starting line up because there are three guys going in that year's 1st round and a four a little later, I think you just might have one heck of a team. Some of those other teams are good, but come on. It took cheating to beat the backups the next year.

fsu won the game? thanks for that ground breaking information! still doenst change my mind that they were lucky to get out of there with a win. why are you trying so hard to validate them, it wasnt a dominant performance by any means. auburn lost the game more than fsu won it, period
