I get so pumped with how well our staff is recruiting - and they are doing well - then I flip over to ESPN's top 300 and just looking at the top FL kids:

1. Dylan Moses, ATH, (uncommitted)
6. Calvin Ashley, OT, (Auburn)
12. Alex Leatherwood, OT, (Alabama)
14. Shawn Wade, CB, (Ohio St.)
17. Tedarrelle Slaton, OT, (uncommitted)
18. Marcus Williamson, CB, (Ohio St.)

The 6 top kids in the state and not one is committed to us (though admittedly, #21 is Robert Burns and none of the top 6 are committed to UF or FSU either, so at least there's that)...

I know Richt and co. are doing well, but when I read this stuff I kinda get a lil bi-polar.

It's March 3rd, the evaluations are being done, you gotta let these things develop.

Don't use facts against my opinions...seriously though, I know you're right, I just want UM to lead the pack and lead wire-to-wire even though I know that's wishful thinking.

SMH, have ya seen how many we have committed on the 300? A couple of those arent from florida, oh and one more thing its MARCH 3rd

LMAO at this thread. 2017 NSD 11 months away, as mentioned 2 are not from FL but rather LA and OH. AND even more importantly every prospect committed had already done so prior to Richt even being hired. Possibly even before his UGA firing IIRC.

That leaves only Slaton and he's been a huge priority regardless of his interest.

Not to mention there are countless kids that have yet to be evaluated.

Don't let stuff like this bother you, trust me I've been there and it's not healthy. Follow along for long enough and you will learn to care less until NSD nears. Wayyy too many de-commits and shady things happen in recruiting. Setting yourself up for a letdown w this approach. Just focus on who we have and who wants to be here-those are the kids that will get us back!

Recruiting with kids that high takes 2 years minimum. They have been recruited for years especially Dillon so we gotta show it on the field first. Wins is all that matters

Have you guys seen how low the Miami kids are in these sites? Javaughn is usually the first on every site other than Robert on ESPN. Trevon Grimes, Jerry Jeudy, Stanford Samuels, and Daniel wright are alway ahead of them and only Jerry Jeudy has shown legit interest. Now I know we're talking to CF kids but every time is see FL on those sites it's followed by IMG. These sites are biased

Well let's take a good look at your evaluation, Dylan is from Louisiana, Marcus Williamson is from Ohio and then you have the Jacksonville area that has been Nole and Gator Country where Shawn Wade is from. also looking at the pan handle where Bama and the Noles rule that's where Alex Leatherwood is from then look at Central Fla big Gator land as well as Noles u have Calvin Ashley.

So when you really beak it down only Tedearrelle Slaton is from South Fla and we have been dominant in the Win Column to recruit Nationally as of yet, so we have to Win Big first.

Yeah...this post was more about me laughing at my own bi-polar excitement/frustration mood-shifts than any real, logical concern that Richt and co. are or are not doing a great job. Sorry for the insignificance of the post...

6 out of the top 18 in 48 North American states? 33% is a giant number for 1 state to have. IMG is going to slant that a bit of course and as Miami fans we are going to have to understand that place is basically a Prep school with kids PLACED there. Get 2/3's or the top kids out of Dade, Boward, Palm beach and we will be on par with the ESPN top 100 kids. There is no way ESPN or any other site is going to put more than 33% of the top kids in their ratings from 1 state. They are definitely not going to give the Miami area 10% of the national rankings even though you will tend to see 100% of the colleges come to the area for players.

Like one poster said above, win and we will get the Miami area players. Win big and we will get the top Florida players.

It's all good, it's just that there are so many of these over the course of a full year that it's just comical at times.

Also, I hate ESPN's ratings. I love their system bc it's based on 10's but the actual ratings themselves are ***. They have by far the most media and SEC bias than any other site. You can usually predict an unrated ESPN prospect's rating based on where he commits also. Just trash. Rivals and Scout are garbage imo. The 247 Conposite is really the only way to go and even that isn't truly credible, especially not until the end of the year when the ratings are more fine-tuned. But having 2-3 out of 4 sites within that score being trash doesn't really help.

So this will be the year people say ESPN's rankings suck because they have our guys low. That's how it works, everyone loves whoever has us rated the highest.

Don't ever apologize.

Good point but it's not thread worthy and it's only ******* March.

Nowadays, these recruits will flip for Cameros with V6s. Can't really be all in anymore until at least December.
