Spring is in the home stretch, but recruiting is just gearing up. Here is the latest on the team:

- Miami has another loaded visit weekend. Visitors include DE Bryce Perry-Wright (Atlanta), WR Jalen Lott (Dallas), RB Jae Lamar (Moultrie, GA), S Zech Fort (IMG/Georgia commit), WR Brayden Robinson (Dallas) and CB Hayward Howard (New Orleans). - In terms of the next dominos, I think the defensive backfield is the area to watch. Two names to keep an eye on are CB Jontavious Wyman (Atlanta) and S Blake Stewart (Atlanta).

- Miami is also gaining steam with the aforementioned WR Brayden Robinson. The 10.44 100M speedster is a dynamic returner and playmaker.

- The Canes believe JJ Sparks (Jacksonville) is a top center prospect, and they pursued him heavily as they spent more time around him. But they will continue to recruit the OL hard with an emphasis on volume. Ryan Miret is expected to visit tomorrow, and all the big fish at tackle and guard we discuss every week are still firmly in play. While it would be akin to winning both showcases on the Price is Right, it is still possible Miami lands both Jackson Cantwell (Nixa, MO) and Keenyi Pepe (IMG). I wouldn't necessarily bet on it, but I was told Miami would find a way to make it happen if it looked viable.

- The freshmen WR have all been making plays at practice, but one name I wanted to highlight in particular is WR Daylyn Upshaw. He is sturdy, runs sharp routes, plays with IQ and can run. That may be a hit.

What does focusing on volume mean?

Dylan Upshaw kind of Reminds of Satonio Holmes. He too was Underrated as 3 star

The recruiting has really stepped up this off season. Another nice list of visitors getting to see the good stuff tomorrow. I don't really know how many OL we plan to take, my guess is 6. If we just take 6, someone might get pushed out. 7 would be a lot for one class.

6 in past years would have been big, but with the 105 scholarships possible it's looking like 7-8 OL. Time will tell, but I think at least 7 at this point
