Not sure how it’s gonna play out. I’d guess we let the position slide like we did with CBs last year and hope for the best. Though I think the position is in a better spot than CB was last year just saying for comparisons how we had to weigh where we allocated resources

Also not saying I agree with it, just my prediction for whatever that’s worth

I believe SEC still does not allow inter conference transfers in the spring window and that conferences leads the way in war daddies. I would look/tamper there for some help on the DL.

That makes as much sense as Riley Williams leaving because he was mad at McCormick getting snaps over him, tolerating that, then leaving when he's the undisputed #1 at the position. It makes no sense because it's stupid and most of these kids aren't actually stupid. Horton didn't leave because he's butthurt about a guy getting more "starts" than him (Horton got considerably more targets) when said guy won't even be there anymore. Horton got a big pay raise from Bama, and we shouldn't try to decode anything more than that than what it is. The game has changed and the transfer portal for a lot of guys is tantamount to NFL free agency.

D$ stated that he looked good - in shorts throwing with no pressure. Not a lot to see and evaluate until Spring practice begins and there is at least some sort of defense involved. Kid is

-highly rated
-was a stud in the Elite 11 competition and made the final 11 ... and did very well in the competitions
-had a monster senior season in HS and capped that season off winning the State Championships for the
second straight season ... and he was 21 of 22 passing attempts in the State Championship game (95%).

There have been comments made that he will likely end up winning the back up battle ... way too early to tell but
the expectation is there that he will be the starting QB in 2026.

Tolbert Bain said he doesn’t think Bain leg was fully healed. I thought that too. He was never a speed guy but he didn’t lose that much explosiveness by accident
