Wow...felt like the orange bowl for a bit. The Miami side was electric. This staff didn't deserve a crowd like that.

And then the game felt like the orange bowl again. Against UVA in 2007.

Complete disaster.

Big time players show up for big time games. Stephen, Al, the staff, and the senior class were and never be ready to win on a big stage

Tremendous turnout. Miami jammed the south end zone and both the lower and upper decks of the east side. Louisville packed the lower bowl but only the two corner sections on each side of the upper deck.

There was great enthusiasm on the Canes side before the game and for the bulk of the first half. Nobody surrendered at halftime but once Louisville scored on the first possession of the third quarter to make it 29-2, the exodus began. Then it accelerated late in the quarter when Miami failed on 4th down deep in Louisville territory. The upper deck cleared out much earlier than down below.

Most amusing Canes fan of the night was a young lady at the very top of the upper deck in section 304. As the game winded down, amidst otherwise total silence among Canes faithful, she was still screaming mock praise of Stephen Morris as he sailed passes into our bench. I heard every syllable from 30 rows lower. She had nice timing and emphasis: "Way to go, Stephen...Another nice pass...Watch out NFL...He's comin'."

I used to believe our fans were spoiled, entitled, pieces of ****.

But, now, honestly, I believe most of them, especially the ones that make away games ( or the uncommon bowl appearance) are strangely optimistic, yet having a penchant for S&M and sarcasm...in equal measure.

i have never made a trip to an away game since 2005s LSU debacle. i will not until I see a team that plays like it gives a crap during an entire season.

It was a good crowd. You could tell it was mostly Die hard fans. Lot of energy and I agree it felt like the OB.

A couple of plays stick out. Hurns dropping the first down pass early in the game hurt. If we could have sustained a drive there and scored...
Then Turning the ball over when we were about to punch it in absolutely destroyed us. It's like the energy left the stadium. You could feel it.

Also, going for it on 4 and 1 from their 40 and running a ******* stretch play to the short side of the field was excruciatingly painful to witness.

I was on the Louisville side on the lower level around the 40 and there were a lot of canes fans over there too. Definitely a solid turnout for fans, however most didn't stay (can't blame them for that **** performance)

Good to hear, but it didn't look that way on TV. Cameras kept panning the "red" sections, I guess.
