Tell me how can I expect this team to get better with some of the most atrocious defensive playcalling ever? Tell me what to look forward to since Miami's best defensive player is Deon Bush? there you have it. we can only hope that these young guys pull through and that the coaching staff does a good job priming them to be studs.

we return something like 20 starters next year.

WR return everyone except DJ, get Lewis back and Angelo comes aboard
LBs Kirby, Perryman, Johnson solid base
DBs lots of depth by next year we have a two deep better then most ACC teams starters

QB can Morris improve his consistency if JED get get Jacory to go 21-7 with a 60% ratio I like to see the same with Stephen
RB besides Duke we got any up and comers? we should have 3 solid backs min to be conference champs
DL I hope some of the young guys can play cause we can have a NC caliber defense in 2014 if they group can be above average

I thought we be a 5 or 6 win team this year and guess what we are a 5 or 6 win talent team this year.....we were 6-6 last year and lost MOST of our contributors what do you except?

Toss ups- VT and DUKE

if we beat VT I think we can run the table if we lose to VT i still think we can win 6 games and self impose a bowl

I think the difference will be our conditioning and strength numbers will progress instead of digress like we have been seeing since about 2006. The x factor will be defensive playcalling. If we continue this prevent scared **** we wouldnt be a top d with bamas players. We have alot of young talent and after next year we will have quality depth.

The defense is coming along and is no longer the team's biggest weakness. The youngins are catching on, the future D is bright. I think we're waiting on a new QB for teh O to turn it around.

Feel excited because we are young,and we are starting to get ****ed off about losing,feel about the future leaders on this team,feel the energy and commitment to hard work.Feel like how we did in 1979,and then feel how we did in 1983.it takes the bad times to build up the good,Bama was horrible(said 1 croyle year) before they dominated,it takes time brother.....

The defense isn't going to be any good next year again. Golden and company will be spoon feeding the fan base that bull**** about being young again. Apparently it's acceptable to take 4 years to field a top 30 defense. If we aren't Alabama by year 4 the entire defensive staff needs to be fired. Also Fisch needs to stop acting like he's the love child of Patrick Nix and Whopple.

Bama was horrible for their first year. They won 12 games in the second year. Don't compare us to Bama because it isn't a good comparison.

If Golden can keep Alex Collins on board, that's a huge reason for optimism.

One more year of good conditioning by Golden, one more year of experience for the likes of Deon Bush and Duke Johnson. One more Golden recruiting class (if it looks as good as this one does, we will be alright), hopefully including Alex Collins and Jamal Carter, and maybe Mathew Thomas.

In all honesty, if you aren't excited about what is coming, then I'm not sure you have a pulse. The whole team reeks of promise in the future. Literally everything points to future success. If you can't see that, then I would suggest to stop following this years team. The only thing that makes following this season worth it is knowing the success that's coming down the line and watching these kids grow up.

You're looking at when Saban took over as opposed to when the Seniors on that team got there. Those juniors and seniors were just as bad as us when they were freshmen

yes because Saban is a good coach who doesn't make excuses the guy just wins and has a system in place that works. No one should ever ever ever compare Golden to Saban there is no comparison one is a good coach and the other still has a lot of work to do before I call him a good coach. People keep talking bad about "O those guys were just Jags" No most coaches and players struggle in the first year in a new system. It happens everywhere.

The players aren't bad it's just they're learning all new terms and adjusting to a new coaching staff. There was a huge jump in the second year as there usually is with new coaching staffs. That's just how it works stop calling the players bad that **** gets old. people have been calling our players horrible for years yet we have a revolving door of coaches that can't get the job done. It's a mix of both our defensive problems are not 100% on the players.

I'm willing to put some serious cash on it that we won't. Also top 15 is unacceptable. It doesn't take 4 years to field a good defense. We better be top 3 by 2014 or the defensive staffs needs to be let go.
