I can see our opponents using short passes & slowly driving & just concentrating on making first downs & keeping our offense off the field

This concerns me cuz:

1. Dnofrio seems to be content with soft zone & has a bend but dont break philosphy

2. Morris has shown he can be streaky. Him on the sidelines watching 7-8 min drives over & over may cause him to get restless. Add to that the hype & pressure that has been put on him this summer by the nfl scouts, plus a new OC, may cause Morris to force some bad throws

Convince me im wrong PLEASE!

Golden can out coach anyone we face but its clear he lets his boy run the D, & ive seen Dnofrio get schooled & outschemed even by guys like Cutcliff at Duke & now UVA has Tom Obrien who is proven

With our offensive power, I think the defense plays more aggressive. Teams that want to ground and pound we bring up the LBs and a safety problem solved. And if we get burned, offense comes back on the field and gets the points back.

If opponents eat up the clock on us, it will be because of the same reason they did it last year. We couldn't make a stop and get off the field.

I don't believe for a second that our opponent's offensive game planning will be predicated on fear of our offense.

hopefully our defense will be improved enough and our offense will be consistent enough to have our opponents eating something else that rhymes with "clock"

It will be tough for them to chew clock when their short pass over the middle to the tight end goes for 35 yards. Three of those and you are in the end zone without much time run off.

I'm not as concerned with that, as I am with our own clock management at the end of the halves. The final 2 minutes of the 1st half is always a great opportunity to steal some points, and I noticed we haven't been too good in that department.

And like cross said, teams will continue to try to gut us with the run and dink and dunk nonsense unitl we prove we can stop it. Last year was beyond unnacceptable.

Sometimes the ball bounces for you, sometimes it is against you. WF did not want to win that game.

The punt returner for WF was a 12th man on our team.

Here is the 2009 Team (Serious Contributors)

1.) CFM: NFL
2.) Bailey: NFL
3.) J. Fox: NFL
4.) O. Franklin: NFL
5.) Benjamin: NFL
6.) J. Graham: NFL
7.) Hankerson: NFL
8.) Sharpton: NFL
9.) Bosher: NFL
10.) B. Harris: NFL
11.) Shields: NFL
12.) D. Berry: NFL
13.) J. James: NFL

I am sure there are others but 9-4?
