Red zone offense is why this team hasn't dominated the unc's and wake's like everyone expected.

Just win baby.

We don't need stats to let us know that red zone offense is killing us. That's why we can't put these teams away.

They need to figure it out quick.

as we get into the redzone, thw two things Morris does well goes away sidelines and depth. The middle of the field deficiencies are glaring in the red zone

I'd be interested to see a side-by-side comparison with the halfway point of last season.

Cut the cuteness inside there and slam the ball cause you want that score more than their will to stop you

Crawford

For some reason Crawford looks average between the 20's then morphs into Jerome Bettis in the red zone.

I'm still waiting for those laser back shoulder throws in the red zone.

Part of me thinks that we have only seen a small percentage of the play book so far.
We need to go all in against FSU.

Agree... Too many wasted opportunities!

The only wasted red zone opportunities I recall in the past two games is the pic off of Seantrel's helmet and the 4th down miss yesterday. Duke had a couple of fumbles a few games ago, but it definitely feels like we have been much more successful in the red zone than last year. It's the drives that stall at mid-field because Morris misses easy passes seem to be a much bigger problem.

Me too. I tried to find that info. yesterday but wasn't able to. Wanted to throw some **** in the face of the Fisch nut huggers direction.

Our redzone offense is literally kept about 3 Tds off the board in each of the last two games.

I rounded up or down, to the yard or tenth of the yard where appropriate, when calculating the stats for the first seven games of 2012.

I may be a little off here or there, but the general trend is pretty evident. It's something we all know, anyway, but the close games over the past two weeks may have taken the shine off of something we should all be celebrating. Our team is much, much better across the board. There are only a few key metrics here where we're performing at a lesser clip than last season. Red zone woes are document, too, obviously, but I can't know if we're better or worse there without crunching more numbers, and I'm tired of this ****. Granted, the competition to date has been less stout, but you play the games on the slate.

Regardless of what the national media thinks (and they can universally go **** themselves), we're a solid facking team. It may not go our way up in Tally (bull-**** Walter, we're walking out there chanting "It's Great...To Be...), but we're poised to win the Coastal and get two shots at those hoors from up north. The kids have busted their asses in every contest, and if the QB can get it together (come on mane), then we're in business.

It ain't as bad as it seems. It's always darkest before the dawn. The sun shines on a Noles' *** too, from time to time.

**** 'em.

The team is better, definitely going in the right direction, and that's with a lot of unheralded kids. Now the shackles are off as far as recruiting, Golden can finally compete on an even field.

I would like to see more Gus or even Mo Hagens in the red zone. Let's face it, Dallas is a gutsy kid, but under 200lbs. Give me Hagens at 250lbs or even Gus at around 220lbs.
