Taylor Upshaw 2018 DE from Bradenton, FL was at the FAMU Game on Saturday an is being recruited by Diaz and Coach Kool.

He is an the epitome of an under the radar recruit. He is very raw but at 6'5" 245lbs he is extremely athletic and he fits the uncut diamond type of player Coach Kool loves to cut and polish into a potential diamond level players. The young man has 2 years to develop and based on his grades I see him as an enrollee wherever he chooses to sign in 2018, which will allow him to go through a FBS winter S&C program along with getting reps in spring practice. This will be very beneficial in his development since he is so raw, and most likely will need a redshirt his first year in college as well. If Miami stays on him and he attends UM's summer camp next year it will be interesting to watch his development.

i know its only the first two games but he has put up some decent tape. a couple times he over pursues on film, but he should be able to clean up his technique in due time.

Good size, from Florida and Kuligowski is recruiting him....

Sounds like a good start....Someone to keep an eye on....
 
NFL bloodlines too. Father is Regan Upshaw who played 9 years in the league. Was 12th overall pick in 1996 out of Cal.
 
Thanks Paranos. Not all kids have been evaluated and there are still those to be evaluated that are better than some of the currently highly rated kids. Just like Jonathan Garvin. Before he committed he was just another possible 3 star in SoFl.
